I think Robert must have smaller hands than me, because I simply can’t get my fingers in the same space to play the notes
@MakeWeirdMusic12 сағат бұрын
I think hand size stuff is largely a myth. Very rarely have I seen it actually make a difference. I used to think the same thing about FraKctured, but I figured out how it works. Took a while, though.

I was into b&w photography with film back then and used to "add" color after print process with a spray on fixative and colored pencils...fun and interesting to take a b&w and pick some interesting bit to add a hint of color. Edit: My favorite photo is Peter pre fall into the crowd. The film of this move that's out there is so great. The crowd passes him seemingly gently, but they also rip his white jacket off and tear up his black tshirt and the security guys have to haul him back up on stage cause a few just won't let go.

Well, the use of the Bagpipe may bring you straight into the MWM channel range? Maybe Bagpipe with Glass-Harmonica en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass_harmonica I have an issue with Mat Muntz : musically, it's very very interesting but... I can't cope with the sound for long😭 Not first time I hear a bagpipe, actually we even have large bagpipe band in Britanny, i.e the prestigious "Bagad de Lann-Bihoué", but I feel Mat's is the harshest bagpipe I ever heard, maybe is it due to production, IDK, I feel devastated as, as I pointed, the music is really, really interesting, but I can't cope for more than 2 minutes straight, my teeth are grinding into less than 30 seconds, I hadn't this effect when I heard bagpipes in Britanny, for sure, bagpipes have harsh sound, but... Not as harsh as Mat's for those I've heard IRL. I thought "bagpipe? It's gonna be weird, let's listen to this!".... But sometimes, seems that things may be too weird for me? I must admit I'm confused
@MakeWeirdMusic12 сағат бұрын
I actually like this effect. It makes me feel something and is discomforting. Some music is like that.

Regarding picking direction. I start on an up stroke. I pretty much start most things with an up stroke. I’ve just always done that. Then I remember Robert commenting that Fracture should start on an up stroke!
@MakeWeirdMusic12 сағат бұрын
Robert said that one should try Fracture starting with an upstroke as an exercise, but he starts with a downstroke. I never thought of trying this piece starting on an up, though

A beginners course to poly-time signatures would be Kashmere by LED Zepplin- 4/4 and 3/4 (I think) guitar and drums sync up every 12 beats. So slippery and such a groove.
