There was also a purple Rayquaza in the Gen 4 anime. Pretty sure it was the Mismagius episode. Reminds me of the time Ash and Pikachu flat out died in the orginal series..

There's a reason Deoxys was a major component in the villain scheme when I was running a Pokemon D&D game (the bad guys were essentially trying to do an upgraded version of the Mewtwo and Type Null experiments)

The fact that Deoxys’ appears to be immediately intelligent is so weird. Especially in its anime appearances, it’s very clear it’s able to actively think, plan, and has a language system that the characters can’t comprehend. In movie and other episodes it almost always just wants to be left alone, or perceives its actions to be self defense. It’s sad really, it’s a reminder that our tendency to immediately attack what we don’t understand can result in unnecessary conflict.

Everyone's talking about how weak they are and stuff, but is no one gonna acknowledge the fact these guys are so awful in design on the basis they lack any originality and feel bland? Like, okay. For one. We had Chimchar. Which evolved into Monferno, and then Infernape, not only badass, but with contrasting fur color to go all out with expression, detail, and it just looked badass. Then you have Grookey, which evolves to be pretty badass, and does have samey vibes to Chimchar's line. We are yet to have a water monkey meet this criteria, but if we did Panpour, Pansage, and Pansear would be rendered obsolete and 100% unpopular. Some people like them. But in my opinion they did the monkeys dirty with these three. And again. We are yet to have a proper kickass water monkey. It took them this long to get two thirds of the way there. Sadly, however, I think the best option for a water primate/tree climbing mammal would be a sloth, which we do already have some sloths in Pokémon. They're mostly normal/fighting types , which actually makes more sense than you think because a pissed sloth can fuck you up. But it could also be a good grass type option, since they do grow algae on their fur, but uh . . . sloths can apparently swim like uh . . . Oh nothing, just FOURTY MILES PER HOUR. Now, you're probably thinking "No. That's wrong. When does a tree climbing mammal, that rarely goes down just to shit, ever swim?" The answer is during a flood in the jungle, which is frequent, and often hella wicked. Jackass. That's why they move so slow on the ground. They're more akin to a hairy sea turtle. A tortoise would move faster, because they're built for land. A sloth has dedicated all of its energy to staying off the ground and olympian swimming, and you guys need to back off on the sloth hate and doubt. Also, yes, I did look this up, Sloths are in fact NOT primates, they are an independent group of mammal. HOWEVER. Biologists DO acknowledge sloths have STRIKING semblence to slow lorises, which ARE primates. And look, I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty sure I was taught that science is a process of both proving others wrong, as well as proving yourself wrong, to find the facts through thorough research. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying you're YET to be MAYBE proven wrong SOMEDAY. So technically. Scientists don't exactly know everything. They're trying to, and it's often a crapshoot, because uh . . . shit's more complex than we thought. Or sometimes it isn't. Maybe we overthink the simple stuff because of all the hard shit we had to put up with. I dunno. All I know is sloths swim FAST, and we should still be acknowledging that to some capacity.

However, you present the literal best parts of this game, so please keep a retired oldy up to date! Not many talk about this amazing concept that still stands behind this game like so!
