I like the idea that Saruman could have eventually forged a true Great Ring of Power, if he ever had gotten access to the Dark Tower. One can almost imagine the story of how Saruman could have kept his betrayal secret, slipping into the Dark Tower after Sauron fell, but before Aragorn secured his two realms. One last hurrah for the secret agent of evil.

Uh as far as i recall it was said Tolkien told us nothing about the blue istari except they went east and were not heard from again.

No this guy is correct.....gotta read all Tolkien literature and letters....
@benwilcockson50413 сағат бұрын
This is all speculation. Tolkien intentionally left their story vague.

He leaves a lot of things vague, keeping people speculating and keeping fans around with the mystery.

In Unfinished Tales (its probably been 20 years since i read it) under “The Istari” the blue wizards were not named and went east and never came into these tales and histories. Either way i think claiming they play “pivotal roles in the war against Sauron” is a huge over reach.

Isildur (like Aragorn and the rest of that line) were beardless btw.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me the sound effects are unnecessary when watching the video rather distracting when trying to just listen to the dialogue.

Obviously it isn't Tolkein, but I really did like how Lord of the Rings Online - a video game crafted by people who clearly had a deep love for Tolkein's work - handled them. I thought the concept of Dâr Narbugud as a whole was just very nicely done. As you descend it gets more and more alien and the names of things become more descriptive and hollow. I really, really liked the concept of the 'The Blind One' who resembles the eyeless bipeds in many piece of the the artwork in this video.
