HI, I have had my vax same model now for around a year and have had a few issues with it , it does tend to clog up badly which means removing all the bottom plate with a screwdriver to get at the inside to clean, also my round brushes dont seem to go round all the time. Besides that I found your video very informative so thank you

Thank you excellent demonstration and would love to see others you have done. We have owned a VAX carpet cleaner for many years but have never really worked out how to use it and not leave carpets wetter than should be and at least I can see how it should work - machine is much too bulky for our small house and I wouldn't recommend if storage space is limited.

Hello, I have just bought my dual pump dryer and cannot for the life of me find any installation instructions. I think I have a somewhat similar model as yours, FDV309GN. You mentioned if not plumbing into the drains I can just plug it into the mains and its ready to go? I saw outlets, one at back near the middle with a black rubber cap and another one near the back on the left hand side of the machine, again with a black cap. Do I just leave those alone? Some water dripped from the outlet on the side. Wondering if that’s also normal😢

How has the bassinet handle lasted as it’s clip in ?
@ritasstories9049Ай бұрын
The handle has worked fine for me on the carrycot/bassinet. However if I was moving the baby from room to room whilst she was inside, I would normally use the side levers instead. But that was just my personal preference. I hope that helps.

Oh no! Is it the silicone membranes (they look like contact lenses) that have worn down and need replacing? If so, call up MAM and they send replacement ones free in the post. Otherwise MAM customer services are super helpful with general troubleshooting.

I have the same, is not so noisy. I had before wax platinum smart wash is way more to loud, this is not. Cable is not problem, you can just put back around like you said, so is better long than short. About weight of machine is better if you go to upstairs just empty and you can bring upstairs separately and put again together. But if you want that machine work, give some results I think need to be a little heavy

I can’t find the options on the app to find the white noise? Can you tell Me where it is?
@ritasstories90492 ай бұрын
On the Nanit app there is an arrow button on the bottom right that expands the extra options. For the white noise you need to click on the musical note and that brings up the options for the different white noises, volume and timer. I hope this helps. Let me know how you get on.

Do you need to subscribe to any of the bundles to use the camera or can you use this camera without any subscriptions?
@ritasstories90493 ай бұрын
If you bought the camera brand new then you should get 1 year's free subscription once you've registered the camera and set it up. This includes breathing tracking and all the notifications, recordings of sound and motion and more. However, if you don't have the subscription then you wont get all the insights and won't be able to monitor your baby's breathing. If you solely want it for live streaming video and audio of your baby then you won't need a subscription. I hope this helps.

Under the bottom of it theres a small hose thing with a cap thing do u open to drain?
@ritasstories90494 ай бұрын
I don't and haven't in the past. All the drainage is plumped in and so I don't have to worry about that. Though if you don't have pipes to connect to at the back of the dryer then you can set it to use the drawer and it will collect the drainage that way. Hope this helps.

Hi, where can I find a different sized flange for this product? It comes with bigger flange and it isn’t really comfortable to use 😢
@ritasstories90494 ай бұрын
A good guide to measuring yourself for a better flange size/fit can be found here, www.tommeetippee.com/en-gb/parent-library/newborn-baby/feeding/expressing/how-to-measure-your-nipples-for-your-breast-pump-flange. Unfortunately, TT doesn't appear to sell other flange sizes. You might be able to purchase a silicone flange insert (off Amazon) where it can make the flange smaller/more comfortable. You would need to research that yourself. I hope this helps.

Hello , can you use the band over the swaddle? For the breathing app . Thanks
@ritasstories90494 ай бұрын
My understanding is that it's not recommended to use the band over the swaddle. Reason being, is that for safety the band should always sit under the armpits or else it could rise up the baby and obstruct breathing. You can purchase a swaddle version to track breathing from Nanit, I have linked some in the description box in the video. I hope this helps.
@roxanaopariuc95144 ай бұрын
@@ritasstories9049 Thank you for answering. Also I have one more question. For the breathing, can the app /camera track the baby’s breathing in a completely dark room ? For the sleep night . Or I need to turn the light on the camera ? Thanks .
@ritasstories90494 ай бұрын
The app/camera will be able to track the breathing of the baby through the sensor free breathing wear even in the dark. The camera will switch on the HD night vision mode to track in cases where the visibility is limited due to darkness. Though saying this I always had a night light on for my little one (it was a sound machine and night light in one device), so she wasn't in absolute darkness. I hope this helps.

We have this set but in stainelss had them for around 2-3 years now. Despite the dryer having self cleaning we do find outselves manually activiating condensor cleaning every 6 months triggered by loads not coming out dry. We also have the dryer drainage plugged into the washer, it doesnt need its own plumbing when stacked, it will use the washers pump if both machines are on, and help heat the washer too, further reducing energy bills. Great combo. Super quiet when correctly levelled. I e you can have a low volume conversation in the same room without it interuppting you or causing you to speak up.
@ritasstories90494 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comments. It's really nice to hear from someone that also rates this product. I've not had to manually activate the condensor cleaning mode. I'm not sure if I've just been lucky.....??

Great review and best on KZfaq. Explained everything I needed to know and I agree with the negative aspects of the machine. It’s very heavy to push, the cable should come from the top rather than the bottom and is a real nuisance. Same experience on hard floors so I use the free steamer that came with it. Cleans well enough and cheaper in the long run than hiring or getting someone in. Just wish it wasn’t so heavy to use and carry up and down stairs.
@ritasstories90494 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed my video and are on the same page as me on the VAX carpet cleaner. I ended up getting the Bissell Crosswave (cordless) which I use on my hard floors instead. I have yet to do a review on this but have posted an unboxing (very short) video.

The dislikes for color & size are moot since both units were not purchased at the same time. And they could have made them even in front if they tried. If they don't like the sticking out in front, make it even in front & the slight overhang will be in the back, a non issue. Remember folks, it's a washer & dryer, 2 different pieces of equipment that for some engineering reason cannot be exact to each other. Oh, and at time 4:26 fix senor to read sensor

@ritasstories90495 ай бұрын
I wouldn't say so. We've recently moved the dryer into our newly built utility room, which is small-ish and we've not noticed any moisture in the air. If there was I'm sure I would have noticed it with it being in a smaller room.

Once the programme ends, can you manually set the machine to run for a bit longer, ie, 5, 10, 15, 23, etc. minutes?
@ritasstories90495 ай бұрын
I've never tried this. I don't think you can unless there is a way to download programmes onto the app and configure it that way.
@nanaday7x2935 ай бұрын
You don't need to, as there's a moisture sensor! So if your load isn't dry enough, the dryer automatically extends the drying time.

Ventilation in that model is on the back and you need to leave 10cm space on the back and 2cm on both sides. It's a deal breaker for me. 😢

Sorry to hear that. But yes, ventilation at the back of the machine is essential.

Happy New Year to you and family Rita ❤ Thank you for all your videos especially your home renovations series. Your house / kitchen Reno looks absolutely amazing! I love everything for your design to all your finishes and your builders have done an amazing job definitely worth the wait. My husband and I live in London and are hoping to renovate our out dated already in place extension and this has just given us so much hope…did I mention I love it already 😂 Can I ask where you purchased your bar stools and wether or not you would recommend your builders?
@ritasstories90495 ай бұрын
Happy New Year. I'm so chuffed you liked my videos and thanks for your feedback. I really enjoyed working with our builders. They were really honest with us and suggested things that we hadn't thought of. We really rate their finishing and everything was done to a high standard, in my opinion (painting, skirting boards, tiling etc.). We are looking to work with our builders again for our bathrooms. When we get round to it, I'll probably film that journey too. and maybe the garden as they do landscaping too. Regarding the bar stools, they are from a company called NCF. It's the Fernley Barstool but I'm not sure if they have the colour we got any more. ncf.co.uk/collections/barstools

Water tank leaking when clipped on when tilt machine please help x
@ritasstories90495 ай бұрын
Arrrrh. I've never had this issue. It might be that the connection between the machine and the tank is loose or the seal has broken. Have you tried contacting the customer services? It's definitely worth a try and they are pretty helpful with any troubleshooting.
@kevinhickey41057 ай бұрын
You need a lot more than one cap of cleaning solution it drinks it very fast
@ritasstories90495 ай бұрын
I've found that the recommendation has worked for us. Make sure you only use the trigger button (to release the solution) in the forward motion as pulling the machine back with the trigger off is supposed to suck the dirty water back up. This should reduce the amount of solution used, if you're not doing this already.

Does this breast pump not come with hygiene covers for the horns to keep it sterile after sterilising?
@ritasstories90495 ай бұрын
No, unfortunately not. But what I did to keep it sterile was put the whole thing in the fridge in between pumping sessions when you're not washing it. But if this is a must-have for you then I've also reviewed the MAM electric double breast pump and that does have covers. If you want to watch that, here's the link kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l9qmmt1oq9Gzm5s.html

How do you open the tank with the dirty water?
@ritasstories90497 ай бұрын
To take the dirty water tank out, there is a grey button on the front of the tank that you squeeze down and pull it towards you. Once the tank is free from the upright carpet cleaner on the back of the tank there is another grey catch you need to lift up and it will unlock the lid of the dirty water tank. I hope that helps!!!
@mooshka53038 ай бұрын
Is there a dry function?
@ritasstories90497 ай бұрын
The dry function is just pushing the cleaner away from you and pulling toward you without using the trigger button. The trigger button releases the water and cleaning solution. So this will make your carpet wetter if you used this.
