Fond memories of Simmo at Derby in the mid 90’s. I used to take my young daughter to the old Raynesway training ground and Jim Smith was brilliant. Different times.. Good luck Carlisle and gaffer!

Without Simmo went have been out if the football league .SIMMO got us out of that shite. Hard to get payers and now balance the books,; The move to Carlisle is the big sell because of the distance we are away 😅 .

It's been said before, but I'll say it again - if you want players to relocate their families, what partnerships are in place with local or West Cumbrian schools for their kids? Etc The Club needs to make itself attractive for players and their families. The player facilities are a start but so often it's the girlfriends and wives who have the final say!

Hard to recruit at Carlisle with our location, cost of available players (affordable) . We don't generate enough revenue to attract some players. We can't afford to be relegated again from the football league!

Nice to see a guy with a plan! The home gates need be higher, and more revenue generated for the club to progress as a whole, so let’s hope that his vision is adopted by all moving forward. Wrexham seem to have generated a bit of interest in their vision so you never know.

Simmo, I'm sure Sam Lavelle is a nice guy with his head screwed on proper. He must be resilient to have dealt with all the stick this season and so fair play to him. Problem is... that stick has been entirely justified and more. He shouldn't just be looking for a new club as of today, he should be looking for a new job. We know our football here, don't forget that.

Lavelle's not the only one. Backed the team till the end this season but now is the time for honest truths, not blind ignorance.

Not accusing andrew here but some fans really have goldfish memory. Simmo got us promoted twice. He’s the reason we’re not in national league. We had massive injury lists and a difficult summer budget and only got new money in November. We came up too early, but I think we’ll be a yoyo club for a larl bit and that’s honestly fine. We will get to league one and stay there eventually. We just need to be patient

People need to stop thinking what Paul Simpson has done yes he saved us but this season he’s sank us, yes people say we are not good enough for league one blah blah he’s the manager he picks the team week in week out he trains them. He’s under pressure before the new season has even started because I will say this now if he starts badly in league 2 everyone will be calling for him to be sacked
