Wow this is huge! Does kind of suck that the rear bias goes away but this is basically how most AWD systems operate to begin with. I wonder if there's a way to change up the modes so you get full FWD mode for max fuel economy :D Or... hear me out, go into FWD mode mid pull so you put down more power once you don't need as much traction!

Yeah and we drive our car around for 2k miles before it broke. There’s no answer to when it breaks it’s more of a matter of time situation once you start pushing big power
@coffeeblogger7441Күн бұрын
U guys should try a T28 "disco potato" it would stay in that powerband way better and way less mechanical turbo lag...and then tune up the shift cut...
@NemtecRacingКүн бұрын
You just wait lol. We have plans for our other gr Corolla that will relate to your comment. Might be a few months but it’ll happen eventually

Dear colleague, please tell me, if I buy a GR Corolla, where should I start with tuning to achieve 400-450 horsepower and good suspension for driving on snow and gravel, aiming towards a WRC style rather than a racing car?
@NemtecRacing2 күн бұрын
Lamspeed turbo kit with a Garrett g-25 550 turbo. Is what you’ll need to make 400hp. Annex suspension is going to be coming out with a rally cross coil over soon.

Yeah we tune cars on 91 and 93 all the time. I’d say you gain about %15-25% power with e85

Here's an alternative that will save 30k...buy clean 1970 Olds Cutlass, build 550 NA horsepower Olds 455, install drag radials, run 12.0's all day and spend all the extra time and money having fun. Just a thought.

I went for 4th in my GRC at 70-72 mph and accidentally caught 2nd for a split second which tops out at 59-60. It lurched, revved high, and I immediately pushed the clutch in. I don’t think I let out the clutch all the way in the moment, but I let it coast for a few seconds afterwards and then babied it the rest of the way. Normal driving ever since and even 1 or 2 pulls have felt fine, but it’s got me feeling dumb and stressed that something’s wrong even though it feels fine. I didn’t see where the RPMs went. Think it should be good or should I be worried? Also I’m very excited to see this build!

I’m a owner of a gr Yaris in Australia and I believe the short shifter in these cars are not great . Because they are short , muscle memory driver skills are worthless . I mean my floppy 5 speed in my Hyundai Getz is quicker to change and safer to change to any gear .

Not a money shift. Lean tuning on a specific cylinder. Compression test will show this and the exact cylinder that is the culprit. Syncs should prevent accidental downshifts (money shift)

That is quite a lot of damage to piston #3. I hope that the block can be re-used with minimal work. Speaking of that piston, I have one from my former AW11 4AGE (completely stock) (I have it here at my desk - I'll upload a photo later). It also melted the ringlands and put a nice hole that you can see the wrist pin through. :) Not exactly my finest moment, but definitely a memorable one. :)
