This brings back so many vivid memories of my mid-teens. We were driving around in my buddy's F150 4x4, blasting this album like 4-5 times through in one night. Good times and fabulous music. Shame Walter couldn't still be around. People will be DanHeads 100 yrs from now

I used to go 3 doors down to Mr. Mahoneys house and cut his "back 40" for concert ticket money he was always drunk and always agreed.. Was 76-77 took me a good 3 hours and he paid me $8 and that was enough to aee Ted Nugent and Rush and Foreigner and life was ducking beautiful. Youncouldnt get into a fight id you tried. The weed sucked and rhe acid was awesome. Intey my hardest to be the neighborhood Mr. Mahoney but it aint the same.

Cornelius Bumpus -- the man playing that sweet sax solo -- died just 6 months after this performance. He had a heart attack on a flight from New York to Los Angeles, where he was scheduled to perform. The plane made an emergency landing in Iowa, with an ambulance waiting for it on the runway, but Bumpus died a few minutes after landing. Just 58 years old. Gone far too soon but forever memorialized in his music. RIP.

It is quite a masterful bit of improv. Everything super logical and "just right", nothing detracts or moves us of the main groove of this great tune.

Fine guitar work. Took an iconic piece and made it his own without losing the flavor of the original studio version.
