What up dude, I’m so stoked for you because I’m suffering the same go pro karma drama, however my drama is slightly different, mine says that it is already paired when I check under pairing, then I try to press start to get is hummin’, yet I either get to a red warning on the upper screen of the remote while that tells me I have a “connection” issue and to try again later 🤷🏻‍♂️. Bat in hand, I’m about to go office space on this thing if it doesn’t show me a sign of life soon, please let me know if you have any suggestions other than what worked for you here, but fyi I’m going to use your video right now to see if this magically helps mine resuscitate too, why not

I did the go pro costumer service using the go pro service video service and unfortunately they said, they can not help. I explain to them that once I updated the drone it stop working. they are awere of this and decided they can not help. so sad.

Its 2024 and this still works. Still have issues with GPS and calibration every now and then but i can still fly it.

hi, i've only just learned of all of this after trying to use my drone the other day, been sitting in the cupboard for a while. i tried your video, appreciate it. didn't work for me mine just stays in pairing mode. power button has no respone on drone and have to actually pull the battery out to turn it off. be lucky if i've flown it half a dozen times from new. guess i have a $2k brick. i'm in new zealand and going by this i'll never buy another gopro product in my life. was looking at a new action camera, won't be a gopro now!. appreciated your video and pleased you got your one repaired/replaced

Mine would not power off after flashing it kept going 10 minutes And it will not power off by pushing button either. I have to take out battery. I literally just bought this from somebody. Who said it flies and took it out of the box😢😭

Karma Drone pairing issue FIX: =========================================== kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mLSXkruZmpuZoJs.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qbiPndBeqamWhJc.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ndiGlrxjmKnRin0.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/acyHhqqAx5iriKs.html I soldered a wire from JTAG pin 1 (3.3V) on Karma mainbord, directly to Vdd solder point for microSD card slot. So I did not use resistor. Standard MicroSD cards need 3.3V on Vdd as power. Be carefull with soldering, use a very tiny thin soldering tip and clean sponge to work neatly and be aware not to damage the mainbord or traces on the board. U have used the 1K resistor between pin 1 of JTAG and probe - which you hold on the tiny SMD resistor during startup of Karma drone. Good luck everyone !

I am selling my drone if anyone wants to buy it - I only flew it a handful of times. I haven’t tried this yet because the camera was stolen . $200.

lol the truth is about the Karma is that many have blue tooth modules failure. It sucks if this happens to you. I have had mine for years and have no problems tho. Glad this worked for you but for most it will not. GoPro really screwed the pouch on this drone as far as that goes. Other than that it’s a great mean drone.

Many blue tooth modules went out on their drones. Mine is 6 years old and have had no issues. However do know it is the Bluetooth module failure.

I'm holder of Karma Drone and i have problem with pairing too. I paid a lot, like everyone else for this drone and now nothing...... does not working i dont know why. Any idea how can i fix it ? We need a class action lawsuit. They had no right to shut down thousands of drones. Imagine if a new regulation came out and Ford or GM shut down thousands of vehicles remotely rendering them useless and then refused to support them. What would people do then. There would be a lawsuit. Why are people standing for this?

So I just contacted gopro regarding this issue because my drone was in storage for Quite awhile and the support rep actually referred me to this video for a fix 😂😢 like you would think the original OEM would have someone that specializes in this 🤦🏾

So my power button seems to work when powering on the drone but once it’s on and in pairing mode can’t turn off. Seems to never time out of pairing either. Just keep flashing blue on the power button. Anyone bypass this?

Hi. The pairing problem in GoPro Karma is solved. The problem is a faulty chip. Flash memory. It needs to be re-soldered. And the drone will fly again. That's how I got my GoPro Karma fixed. Now it can pair and fly again. A good electronics technician can fix this problem.
