Bruh the preamble is unbearable. What's funny is apparently I clicked this before and I see an old comment of me saying "word salad". Apparently my impression is consistent. This guy is verbally masturbating himself on KZfaq. Isn't this a community violation or something??

An easy clue for everyone . The most misunderstood Buddhist stories by the fake narcissistic enlightened are those of disciples going to great lengths to be accepted by a guru . For instance , the story of a disciple who upon being told to go away chopped off his own arm to 'prove his dedication ' before the guru accepts him . The reason the guru then accepts them is because they can see just how deluded they are that they don't realise they are already enlightened within and what they are seeking can't be found outside of themselves .

I think what Carl was alluding to was the same as the Buddha saying Buddhism is the vessel with which to get to the other side and once there should be left on the bank so as not to become a trap.

This is one of the most impressive videos I've come across. I couldn't understand and put together congruently the JP of his personality lectures and the latter unhinged ravings. Currently looking into Heidegger and trying to fit his nationalism with his existential authenticity. There is the same smell here with JP, Heidegger and Enoch Powell. First rate minds that get warped into intellectually feeble positions because of personality / maybe shadow. It feels like there is some primordial sense of identity that must express itself and burns through. PS I love the metaphors in this video bellows of the algorithm is fantastic. Thank you for the education.

This is a good overview but I have a beef with the basis. It assumes that through time nobody has answered the question AND that god is the reason. It also assumes that science has answered all the questions to the point we can be sure we are non-spiritual beings and just animals. It might be the case that we are merely animals but has not been proven. If we are spiritual beings then there are plenty of religions that address progression without the need for a god and at a minimum we can say we are in a physical world for some purpose that involves being a physical being. If we assume a religion with a god (there are many without) then we assume the god didn't exist and maybe we are just animals then the residual is that the religion itself is philosophy and provides the answers to many of life's questions with god just being a fall-through (because god). As a side note the old testament addresses a lack of a 'why' in Ecclesiastes "vanity of vanities, all is vanity". Apparently god wasn't enough of a reason for some. This is no doubt why there were debates on predetermined fate and even the concept of "the fates" in some religion. Other religions e.g. Buddhism don't have a god. They focus on the spiritual journey and through that provide the purpose. The "god is dead" idea and we must start fresh is uninformed. The question has been addressed many times through history.

I agree that he has syphilis, he had a breakdown. But due to his sickness, and due to his psychological suffering and the madness of discovering the will to power, the reality of life's suffering. All it took was a horse being wiped, mercilessly and he saw the suffering of that animal, only then did he broke down and he went to the horse and whispered in his ear eether it's, italian, German or in Latin, I do not know what language he used. He whispered in the horses ear and said, "I understand you." The was was escorted into inapsychic ward to be treated for his madness.

There is a difference between consciousness, nous, and elements. Consciousness (God) is, elements come into being, likely from Nous or mind. We could think of consciousness as Being, predating mind and matter, owing no debt to either. Mind is likely material coming into existence with quantum events. Matter fundamentally would be from consciousness and mind. Taking place in consciousness and coming into being in mind. It is the case that God’s thoughts are things.

What a load of hogwash. This falsely displays what postmodernism really is. Yes, modernism failed to fulfill utopia, but it drove us to huge gains. There is more work to be done, but the point is, you don't through out the water because the glass is only 80% full. Postmodernism is rooted in the marxist philosophy of the oppressed and the oppressor. However, once the oppressed are overthrown, the whole of the oppressed can't rule and so a subgroup is chosen... which will eventually become oppressors of a worse sort... (See National Socialism, Facism, and Communism). Worse because postmodernist believe that there is no real right or wrong, just the predominant view of the group, anything goes and those who disagree are evil. And since they are evil, any means may be used to eradicate evil... Hence the holocaust, soviet purges, chinas cultural revolution, the killing fields etc. What's left is "there is no right or wrong, only power and those who can use it." Sound familiar?!

I tend to find, it takes someone to know them selves somewhat before they can objectively view others situations, in a way that can see the broader overarching context and forces at play molding attitudes. It often surprises me how many artists are closed minded when having critical self introspection seems to me to be and essential component or requirement to be a real artist. Historians have the benefit of a longer view of events to get perspective too. Sometimes these people are to close the the front, too engaged but then again they are making the history and perhaps its a luxury to sit back and be the spectator. ..hmm i think now i know why whisky was invented.

It would be interesting if this happened without a random interaction first. It is impossible to explain to a smiling face -- I did not say "hi" to you and guarantee your will to pass? That confrontation happens when etiquette is judged as inadaquete so imposing and ignoring supercedes eventual conflict. If you are ignorant you will never learn. Once you confront a source the truth must be known. The truth is human beings are lazy people who set others up for a kick. That to me is abnormal psychology. Catch the lie and don't let it go.

I disagree with the statement that hyper-reality can do things that reality does not. It's merely the different preferences of an audience and their "need" for escapism. (Hyper-reality bores me because it's just costumes applied to reliably successful tropes.) I'll take a good rom com over dragons and unicorns any day. I'm weird that way.
