Wow…. Last summer I took my dog tent camping twice. I started to do my research, with no feedback from others, but just spent a weekend looking, looking , looking and looking on line at sites, with some “musts” as part of my criteria. Beginning with, obviously, beauty, needed to be dog friendly, have a river or lake, electricity, Wi-Fi would be great, but not necessary, and narrowed it down to…..drum roll…. Holly River and Beach Fork!!! I was so incredibly pleased! I’m not originally from West Virginia although I live here now. And this evening I started my search again for some camping late this summer or early fall, and after your video I’m having a hard time considering going anywhere else! 😊 I feel a little giddy about the fact that my search proved successful and had I seen your video last year, it wouldn’t have taken me an entire weekend to figure out where I wanna spend two weekends. But thank you so much, figuring it out this year is going to be so much easier! Now….. if you were to review specific sites, help me narrow down some options that would be awesome. But until then, I guess I will just need to experiment. 😁

Good information. Thanks for taking the time to share your work. Might want to heat trace and/or insulate that line which is now part of your tanks. Also, may reduce possible puncture from road trash.

I did, sorry this wasn’t in a tik tok type format and therefore was too much information for your intelligence/attention span to handle. If you are not interested in the details, you probably shouldn’t be camping anyway.

People may not want to hear it but New York has a great park system. Unfathomable acreage in the Adirondacks alone (as big as vermont, can fit 4 of the biggest national parks inside). Not every single park is perfect but among them you can find shangrila for true campers. I love me some west virginia, will be visiting your recomendations this summer and will check back!

Decided to email the company and call and hoped they would own there fabrication error and chose not to. Mind you We have paid full price for the last three and many folks bought based on Our input. Never thought they would blow this off. We really thought a new box would show up on our door step 2 day air. Never did. Folks most likely just a poor build error on Ours……For your families safety do your research. USMC/USAF Ret. (We are stuck with it, they are not cheap and we are not rich…..God Bless

Why not black water campground? I was thinking of going there.
@dwellbig
@dwellbig 4 ай бұрын
In short that area of the state is great, however in a reasonable proximity I believe there are much better options for campgrounds such as Canaan. The campground at blackwater is poorly designed to say the least, it doesn’t have much beauty or redeeming qualities, and it attracts a lot of first time campers or campers who otherwise don’t know or care about etiquette. The state park itself is great, lodge is nice…but the campground itself is seriously lacking much appeal compared to others in that area of the state. I would rather stay at Canaan and drive to the blackwater park, or even the Seneca rocks (shadows) campground and then drive to blackwater. Just my two cents. Happy camping!

Thanks for this! I am working on matching the main floor up-model the previous owners did upstairs and downstairs only (weird, right?), but was dreading cutting out the drywall and corner beads. This is a great solution... since I'm in the west, I'll need to sand down that texture that we have on every wall surface first.

Nice video. In a higher wind the good hitches will hook the trailer and tow vehicle like one solid vehicle, like a bus. Everybody has their favorite hitch. Just like they have their favorite trailer and favorite tow vehicle. I like the Andersen mainly for its performance and it’s simple design. Take care and safe travels! Tom

Some many great memories at Holly River State Park. I used to love the Friday night square dance and the Saturday night softball games but there was always something to do there. It's funny you posted the picture of site 85. That was my dad's favorite spot and we stayed there every time until one week it was taken and we tried site 49 and that became our new favorite. I remember one night at #85 waking up to my dad with his sleeping bag and blanket wrapped around his arm at the entrance of the tent as there was a pack of wild dogs scavenging our site. Luckily they moved on shortly after but needless to say, I did not sleep the rest of the night.

The rifle arrived today and I dialed in the scope just a couple hours ago kzfaq.infoUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL . I haven’t shot with a scope in probably 25 years. The X on the left was my target. (the shot almost in the bullseye on the right X was my father in laws first shot after I made adjustments) The two shots circled are my first 2 shots. Then I brought it down - shot once. Then brought it over to the left. From there zeroed it in to dead center. This all was from 25 yards out. Follow instructions carefully when mounting the scope. So far I'm very happy with the purchase.

Thank you very much for posting. I am considering buying and this gave me exactly the info I needed! I especially like how you took the wine rack out and showed that it could just be a shelf area! So cool! I wouldn't have known that from the NewAge website! Super, super helpful! (And just FYI to anyone reading - as of this writing, they are only offering this in the 21" depth, not 24. The lower cabinets are 21" W x 21" D x 34.75" tall and the uppers are the same width, but 13.5" deep. The height size varies depending on which options you choose. Though Costco sells several different pre-made kits, the NA website offers a way to buy the individual units to make up the configuration you prefer.

And I know you don’t know how this works….but here is a breakdown. I am getting stuff done, in fact I have a lot of stuff to get done. I do not have a camera crew or a bunch of money in equipment as these videos make basically no money at all to amount to anything. If I film something and the audio/video turns out poorly I don’t know until after….and there is not much I can do about it on a video like this. What dismantle everything and redo it just for this video to make a few bucks still but I make someone like you happy? This isn’t a paid platform. If a video hurts your feelings there is not much I can do other than have you show me on the stuffed bear where it hurt you. You also were clearly looking for info on this as you don’t just stumble on a video like this. So you either learned something or you didn’t regardless of it not being IMAX quality that you are so pampered to expect…..on a free platform. I get and can handle constructive criticism but the idea that I didn’t watch my own video and didn’t realize it was low quality is interesting. You literally watch every second of it hundreds of time when editing. But again, it’s the idea of post something on the subject (even if it’s low quality) versus nothing. When I posted originally I was the only video on YT showing this. A couple other since copied me and had the means to produce a higher quality video. So go find theirs and watch it.

I felt the same way (re the trailer/vehicle both moving together as one unit) - I was towing a 6000lb travel trailer on my half ton SUV - got caught in a VERY windy stretch of road. The entire package moved as 1 unit (left/right), but never any particular sway. It's about as good as it can get for sway mitigation.

If you cant load your trailer correctly then you shouldn't be pulling one. This hitch encourages lack of knowledge and inexperience
@dwellbig
@dwellbig Жыл бұрын
What? This has literally nothing at all to do with the weight distribution or ratio on the trailer…..and this hitch encourages nothing. It is simply one of the best engineered and performing weight distribution systems out there. This video on the other hand may encourage people to comment with lack of knowledge or experience….but hate to tell you…the hitch system encourages nothing. More humorously we are talking about a WDH….to even be here looking at WDHs one would have to be much more knowledgeable and experienced than most…. So very confusing comment but I appreciate the attempt to tear me and/or the hitch down. Kudos.

You should never be at your max on payload or what you can pull especially on a travel trailer A good rule is no more than 80% Tundras don’t have good payload or max towing ability nor do they have the anti sway built into them Ford, Chevy and Dodge’s all have or have options for this The hitched was worth it and saved you from a wreck I have been in high wind situations many times and the higher the wind the slower you should go Going slower will keep you from swaying That is part of what anti sway being built into the truck will do It will slow you down to stop it if it starts

quick question to anyone, on the Anderson hitch, there are 2 receiver pin holes, Does it matter or have an effect on operation if you choose the hole closer to the truck or farther, If I use the 2nd hole to put the receiver pin through, it actually allows me to open my tailgate but I'm curious if this matters, I'm assuming not or they wouldn't have put the option there for 2 positions but wanted to get thoughts.
@dwellbig
@dwellbig Жыл бұрын
I started with it in the furthest out position for the same reason. But I could only open my tailgate if I was perfectly level and perfectly straight. I’m not sure how much change I saw but the physics have to say the further you get that hitch in to the receiver the better. Like a lever, the longer the lever the more force applied. So since I could rarely open my tailgate anyway I opted to just go all the way in. If you aren’t tight against your numbers it is probably fine, in my case I figured every little bit mattered. Again not sure I felt any real difference between the two though.
@AllenWood-ub9ih
@AllenWood-ub9ih Жыл бұрын
@@dwellbig thank you for your comment, I agree fully now that I've told it. Fortunately I can open my tailgate most of the time. But like you said if I'm turned too much I can't. I'm at an f150 so I don't think my weight's matter that much in the back on the hedge. But I agree it's probably less weight and stress. If you go all the way in. I'm just going to drive with it both ways and see how it goes, it is nice to get that tailgate open though.
