There is a way esear wat to do that I made a bare to drive the front on my tractor under and put a chain under both sides of the front end and pull the pins and drop the belt and muel drive and lift the front of the tractor up about 8 inches with a chain fall And role the deck out from under it on the anti scalp wheals an are done in about 5 minutes. He makes way more work out of that then it needs to be.

Thanks for watching and the comment. There are multiple ways to do it. Our way you need a board and a tractor. Everyone has boards and the tractor. As you can see it's very fast, simple and safe and Everyone has what's needed to do it in a couple minutes. Your way sounds like it would work fine. But need far more things and much more complicated and less safe than simply driving over a deck...

Thanks they real are unstoppable for their size. They do make a 4x4 model but these machines with weight do awesome and 4x4 is hardly need or used. But in the rare occasion you might need it instead of want it. The 4x4 option is nice. But I have seen these 2 wheel models go and do more than some 4x4 compacts could not. I began decarbonizing my JD 420.. The carbon wasn't too bad, but what I did see was oil on the bottom of the cylinder. The piston didn't move much. How serious is the oil condition? I wasn't really planning on pulling the engine and doing a ring job. I just bought the tractor and have not used it at yet.
@caseingersolltractorsnortheast
@caseingersolltractorsnortheast 20 күн бұрын
Run it and see. It's not uncommon especially with the hours these machines have on them. If the carbon was not bad then it's probably not burning much. Run 20 50 oil and see what you find. Thanks for watching and the comment. Report back if you don't mind.

Great video. Videos on the noises Onans make would be good. You mention piston slap versus valve noise versus other noises, if you get an engine to show the noises. I use a de-carbonizer additive called RxP that keeps the comb chamber clean.

@caseingersolltractorsnortheast 24 күн бұрын
Thanks, unfortunately engine sounds just do not come through the videos very well, great Idea wish they dud. Some additives do help ut do not put off doing regular decarboning as you will likely surprised as it will be needed, just might get away a bit longer, but not worth the risk. Great to use as added peace of mind. Thanks for watching and the video!

Hi Seafoam is good stuff but these engines need decarboned in a normal schedule. Seafood may help some but won't stop carbon from building up in these small engines, may slow it down as the ones that use seafood constantly are a bit less Carboned up. I did this pump mod on a 18hp Opposed twin brigs, & solid reliability. I got the pump from O’Rileys so I kinda overpaid but never had an issue with the fuel system after that. Modified the stock pump housing to just be a pass through so it doesn’t fail and get gas in my engine. Always instantly fired up, & ready to work. Didn’t realize a kit existed for the Kohlers so I’ll be getting a few of these while I can for the plate, & no more issues. I’m kinda surprised I got a few years out of the stock pump unless it’s not original on my 212. Whole engine is all oily, greasy and gross so I can’t rly tell much.

What would you consider to be the best tractor to get considering attachments? I like the idea of hydraulics, but since there are many more tractor with belt driven attachments, is that better? Are there any tractors/years that have both hydraulics and belt & clutch systems? I am looking for a big wheel 4XX/4XXX series!
@caseingersolltractorsnortheast
@caseingersolltractorsnortheast 2 ай бұрын
Hi all models have belt drive mowers and snowblower and rest of attachments are hydraulic drive. The only models with hydraulic blowers and mowers are 3100 and 4100 series. If wanting to mow or blow stick with 400 4000 200 3000 series. Parts are harder as well as attachments for 3100 4100 series attachments.. lots of info on our website caseingersolltractors.com I'm not sure what your needs and use will be but any 16 horsepower and above big wheel models will do most any jobs. The higher hp ones do the jobs with less effort. If you are planning to do hard and heavy work often go with 18 or 20 horsepower Onan models for severe duty work. Where are you located?

Anti-Seize instead of WD-40 Would probably be better about keeping your threads from rusting or protecting them as you say.
@caseingersolltractorsnortheast
@caseingersolltractorsnortheast 2 ай бұрын
Hi we use anti seize often in situations where we feel it's the best choice. Buy here we do not feel it's the best choice for mating surfaces. It would take a fair amount of it and time to apply. Being so thick it could possibly create voids and unevenness, where moisture, dust and debris could get in and stick to anti seize. May be fine 9 out of 10 times but possible it could creat issues. Like the video said point is to use something, whatever you have is better than nothing. We often use old motor oil for the mating surfaces, but the spray was quick and easy for the video. If one wanted to use all that anti seize and take the time to level it and clean up extra mess so nothing sticks to it when mowing, then it could be used. But it's just not our choice here nore want the customer paying shop rate on any unnecessary time. That's just why we choose not to in this situation. But thanks for watching and the comment and suggestion. We always like to hear suggestions or how others do things and your suggestion others may find very useful and go with it. Just wanted to explain why we choose not to use it, but not saying it's not a option. And yes its a good choice for threads in many situations. Have a good one.
