So I guess billions of years ago something no bigger than a few atoms exploded in an empty space.And over billions of years all has evolved. With the only real truth behind the explanation is well the science .I find Jesus Christ way more than just a made up fable he is... the way the truth and the light. GODS WORD WILL BE PROVEN .

I think there was an actual man at the inception of the gospels. And the mythologizing was a deliberate attempt to syncretize all the mystery religions of the time. In that way the Dionisian, Elusian, Jewish, Platonic, and whatever else could easily be attracted to it. Sounds conspiratorial but it's just a little too coincidental that all these aspects are represented in the gospel writings.

Y'all ever actually attempted to heal someone with Jesus's power though? Try putting your palm on a loved one and saying, in authority of being an imager of Most High, "I command your [speak specifics of condition] to be completely healed [or eradicated] in name of Lord Jesus of Nazareth". Try it a number of times even with only a glimmer of faith. I'm 38x deep, playas. God bless 🤘🇲🇽🐍🕊️🍺✝️

I really thought you were going to call BS when he said the e statements are like the Enead story about Dido, as a literary divide for vividness. It’s supposed to be that in the story of the Enead, you have Enead talking to Dido. Not in Acts, he just casually starts saying We from when they start heading to a certain point in the voyage. I think it was the Hellespont or something, trying to get to Rome. The fact that Luke (for now let’s say we agree,, because the point stands with or without it being Luke) is a traveling companion of Paul is so weeven in the NT because of such casual occurrences. We see Luke is known by Paul in 1 and 2 Corrinthians, he refferences the teaching about marriage and divorce « a command from the Lord » in 1 Corr7, he says « according to the scriptures in Chapter 15 about the death-burial-resurection and atonement and apppzaring to Peter etc, that’s Isaiah 53 and also the Gospel including Luke, he tells the story of the last supper in 1Corr11, the only one where Jesus is quoted as saying « do this in reverence of me » is the gospel of Luke. In 2nd Corrinthians he says « w rare not as those who make commerce of the word of God but preach it in the presence of God - that’s what Gabriel says to Zachariah in Luke 1. Also Romans 2 « according to my gospel » and says what happens in Luke with the man paralyzed and the people muttering in their thoughts « God judges the secrets of man by Christ Jesus » because he says « but that you may know the Son of Man can do thus. » And in 1 Timmothy, he says « it is writen » and quotes Luke 10 « à labourer diserves his wages. And then Hebrews is writen in the writing style of Luke-Acts, and is Paul’s philosophy and seems to be his author as the ideas of the letter, even the same analogy about infants milk and solid food in Corrinthians. I went through all this I my response to James Tabor. m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n8h6aJanpr-UfIU.html

Smoke and mirrors! These mimetic arguments are not solid at all. First, read the Greek myths and you will see that one has to squeeze narratives to extract these parallels. Second, it is interesting that none of the early Christian writers were able to detect what Mark was doing (Matthew and Luke were bamboozled by him; they included his retelling of Homer's Odyssey in their own gospels...I guess Mark's use of Homer wasn't clear for a first/second century educated person, contrary to what MacDonald would have us believe in his book "The Homeric Epics and the Gospel of Mark"). Thirdly, here are some academic reviews which challenge MacDonald's claim of mimesis - "The Homeric Epic and the Gospel of Mark by Dennis R. MacDonald, Review by: Morna D. Hooker, The Journal of Theological Studies, NEW SERIES, Vol. 53, No. 1 (APRIL 2002), pp. 196-198." And, "bmcr.brynmawr.edu/2000/2000.09.16/ (A review by Robert Rabel of the University of Kentucky). These are reviews from 2000 and 2002. It's hard to believe that these arguments are still being peddled almost a quarter of a century later! Mythvision has provided exactly what it is named after...a myth.

If Luke/Acts is fiction then anyone or anything that supports Luke/Acts/Paul must also be avoided ? Is that what you suggest ? 2 Pet 3:15-16 - Peter supports Paul. Hebrew possibly written by Paul ? Luke, Acts, Rom-Philemon, Hebrews, 1 Pet, 2 Pet - throw all of it out the window and stick with what's left. Strange how Christ, IN ADVANCE, knew those books would be here yet Christ ALLOWED them to stay. Why would Christ do that ?

At the time of Muhammad pbuh, Quran was mostly memorized. Well, there were many battles so many memorizers died. So when needed to be written down, who was better to do it other than Muhammad pbuh's own companion? So Uthman r.a. did.. And what's the best thing to do with other variants than to burn them? And so they did.. So what was wrong with it? Nothing! Just read the Quran ypurself then, and find the contradictions. After all it was sent down orally and slowly within 23 years, there has gotta be many mistakes, right? Well, there is none! Or else find it! I challenge you.

Why is it that critical scholars without think that it's futile to try to understand Genesis without the literary context of Gilgamesh, the near-eastern gods and their creation myths but it's rare, bordering on fringe, to put the gospels in the literary context of Homer, the classical world’s demigods and their translation myths.

Funny how Jesus impressed his followers so mightily they came to the conclusion that he must have created the Universe, but instead of relating the words and deeds of the great man as accurately as possible, they wrote parables riffing off of Homer, Hebrew scriptures, and other ancient mythology...

I been to the throne room in 2018.I saw a throne with lights surrounding it . I kneeled down and I remember it had been a minute since I took a breath. I took a breath and realized it wasn't air it tasted like starter fluid. And I saw a Angel to my right and you coukd barley make out a forehead line and jaw line. But she was shoving metal chunks to my face 5 of them. I took them and put them together like a puzzle. It had gold trim purple violet face with a greenish color with weird writing on it I was crying so loud I woke my wife up over her CPAP machine. And a week later I met the Devil by the means of 2 quarters bringing a vision to my minds eye and a hour later he was sitting in my sister's living room. Shane Safriet which means Numbers or to count . And I also met Yeshua at a construction site I worked with him for 2 weeks. And they proved who they were to me.

The reason why we don’t have original christian gospels is because the stories come from external older sources, extinct myths, and even present myths. Christianity is constantly changing, evolving, as it continue to travel the world conquering and absorbing cultures and converting people via syncretism.

'Mark''s originality is extreme: the first to put a Jesus on the ground walking around and talking to Jews. He needed plot, which mimesis provided, and he needed dialog, which Paul's opinions in his letters provided. Other mystery cults learned early that biographical narrative fills more pews. Christianity _without_ could succeed only where competing mystery cults weren't. Gentiles demanded more. 'Mark' must have believed in Paul's sky-Jesus killed by demons in the firmament, and expected that once butts were firmly in pews they could be disabused of the walking-around-Jesus fable and taught the insiders' version. But it evidently soon became clear that step was unnecessary, and walking-around-Jesus became official doctrine. The late forgery 2 Peter shows in 1:15-2:3 that not everybody was on board with the innovation: the author pretends to be eyewitness to gospel fantasies, and then enjoins us to shun the--evidently numerous--brethren who maintain the original sky-Jesus story. It is always disappointing to hear Dennis pivot to Q. There is no defensible difference between Q and Matthew itself, once you admit authorial agency. Absent authorial agency, where did Q come from? (We of course don't have any Q, so to pretend to read from one is embarrassing.)
@kevincrady2831
@kevincrady2831 5 сағат бұрын
I haven't read Dr. MacDonald's book yet, so I don't know specifically what he thinks "Q" contains. If it's a set of "logioi" or "sayings" attributed to Jesus absent "historical" narration (comparable to the Gospel of Thomas), they could have originated as popular "channeled" teachings of Jesus that were circulating within the early Christian community. For example, in "Jesus' sayings" about "the Son of Man," it sounds like he is talking about somebody else. Christian theology tells us that Jesus was actually talking about himself, but it seems forced at least sometimes, i.e. when Jesus says "when the Son of Man comes..." as if he is not present. However, if these sayings were originally "received" mystically and circulated orally, they could have been inserted into Gospel texts where the authors thought they could fit. In short: unless there is evidence for historicity than I'm unaware of (entirely possible), "Q" could be "teachings of Jesus" received by members of the community via revelation that "went viral" enough to have been accepted as truly "from Jesus," even if they do not go back to a historical figure.

On thing I respect about Bart Erhman is that even though he left Christianity after discovering that the Bible was corrupt he is still loyal to his historical Christian belongings and too afraid to open the Quran and actually study it and do a scriptural criticism on it . He is just giving opinions from hearsay’s he is never opened the actual Quran clearly .

26:11 I think what she is asking is that: Even if we actually do have the original text of the bible, how could we know that that's actually what happened in reality? for example, somebody wrote that Jesus resurected after being killed and crusified. The question would be: Was the person who wrote this event (that Jesus resurected after being killed and crusified) with paper and pencil/pen right there writing these things down as they were happenig?
