Linda, my favorite candy was Mary Janes and peanut butter logs too 🍭🍬 two for a penny . Us children use to walk to the store for our neighbor and friend, Annie. Whoever went she'd always give ten cents. We loved going for her. We got lots for ten cents. She had an account (so did my mother) and she'd pay it up once a week. That won't ever happen again. Can you imagine people paying their bill in full today? Most wouldn't.

I don't remember the dishes but I remember I do remember the cloth that came on the ' Capitola Flower Sack and the ' Capitola Tokens ' , you could use them to go to the ' Picture Show ', the Movies. I have not cooked Zucchini before, or Egg Plant before! I've tasted them before though.

We always had "oven toast", a little butter on the bread and broil it. I remember my grandma had an old toaster that toasted two pieces of bread. It toasted one side, then you opened it and turned the bread to toast the other side.
