Rippp, another superb display of Fighter Pilot Mastery FPM (you read it first here folks). A few things stick out as exceptional. 1. The massive weapons load of the Flanker. Annihilates an air force in a single sortie and, missiles to spare (debrief bragging rights) 2. The massive fuel load of the Flanker. After a MAX AB climb and MAX AB intercept of the now obliterated air force, there was PLENTY of fuel remaining for an extended low-level, high Mach, MAX AB RTB. 3. The RTB merge. He (F-15?) had a year's worth of angles on you. You recognized this and also recognized you were too fast (a Flanker problem indeed) for the reversal as you were opening up too much distance too quickly. Could have pulled out the burner and MAX-G'ed either side horizontally - a classic NOOB mistake - and you would have been the Eagle's lunch. Instead, you recognized you had all kinds of SMASH, which always translates WELL into a vertical maneuver. Up you go deciding to make perfect use of the Flanker's massive lift and cut the circle via a loop. A FOX-2 comes next and it's Doom on You Eagle driver. This a text book sortie outlining "The Perfect Mission". Only you can tell us if it was perfect. *Do you think you made any mistakes? I have reviewed the mission a few times and it looked flawless. **On a final note Rippp, you have provided us an unedited version of a TOP GUN approved and taught, textbook mission. But now the DCS community - including those you have shattered, smashed, and silenced over the years - knows some of your secrets. They now see you climb in full afterburner to get to altitude quickly for an intercept. Within minutes of this comment being published, ALL DCS players will be using full afterburner to climb to altitude quickly. This will open a can of worms something fierce and possibly place a dent in your success. ***Viewer: I voiced my concerns with Rippp after this mission, of him wanting to release this unedited version, afraid his competition would begin to in the very least, want to actually get out of bed in the mornings and face the day. Rippp is well aware of the devastating impact his flying has on the general DCS public. Rippp reassured me though when he said to me, "Knighton, my dear sweet and lovely friend and Curator of my Legacy. I am touched by your concern but please fuss and worry not. Pay no attention to the Flanker's cockpit panel displaying 2 green lights when afterburner is selected for each of the Flanker's engines. I reprogrammed this to make it look like I climbed in MAX afterburner when in actuality, one engine was in military power and the other engine was at idle. Always remember I have no competition... just targets of opportunity. And lastly Curator Knighton, I like my prime rib rare, my baked potato loaded with all the fixin's, my Cabernet Sauvignon from California's Napa Valley region, and my Cuban cigar from the Partagas factory."

@rippp463129 күн бұрын
@@pinocleen The warthog used to be the go to forever, but nowadays there are better options. VKB is honestly pretty good, my HOTAS ran me ~$600, and its much better and more versatile than any other setup. The STECS throttle allows you to hotswap afterburner detents that you setup for different jets in less than a minute. Can't recommend VKB enough, the joystick is also butter smooth, it was life changing coming from an x-56 stick

This is a bit too much. I never had as much as a good look at the enemy. Pop and shoot off a rocket at small black specks in the sky, then hide in the radar shadows of small hills at dangerously low less than treetop level. Then pop back up after you somehow magically determine the very second they've gone cold, follow them and send a fox-2 up their tailpipe. The most dreadful kill was the fox-2 frontal aspect. Hot bandit rushing in, almost in the position ready to merge but a millisecond away from being below the minimal launch envelope. Still ate a fox-2 frontally. The opponents didn't make obvious glaring mistakes but they got a fox-2 anyway. That poor fellow was not even allowed to run away.
