You're really selling me on the bracket I saw on your last video of inexpensive top cases! I need to get the passenger seat with the flip-up backrest for the wife AND I want a lockable top case behind her seat. Another VERY HELPFUL and well done video! Thanks!

Hahaha. Thanks for watching the video. Listen..also check eBAY and Walmart and Target for the top case. 48L size usually holds 2 helmets. Amazon has been selling out of the less expensive ones...which in my opinion works just fine. Be well!

Excellent and helpful video...well done! I've owned high quality Givi top cases, but I'm sure this inexpensive top case would work fine for me. I was just shocked to see that the metal bracket required to mount the top case cost $179 (or $100 more than the top case itself!) That alone makes me consider spending more for a higher quality set-up like the Shad Top Case Luggage System for the Can-Am Ryker.

Thanks for watching the video. Just remember we produce in low quantity in the USA and use 100% stainless steel. Theses cases are made overseas and cost pennies. Most recently we saw this case on Amazon for $49 (now out of stock). All in all its all a good deal given the alternative options. Most recently we have put bubble wrap in them to convert it into a cooler. That video will be next. Be well and ride safe!

We have the standard BRP seat and backrest…does this bracket work with the non-comfort seat? Also, what specific storage box is that? TIA!

It works with any Can-Am seat. You just need the folding back rest. The short (non-folding back rest) is made with plastic so the short back rest will NOT work.

@@Raynor88 Sorry..no rack for the Ryker can hold that amount of weight. The last I checked the Ryker can not even tow a trailer. The racks are meant to handle a few items and keep them locked up safe in a luggage box.

Excellent product and workmanship! Phenomenal packaging and printed colour instructions! However, didn't work well for my use case. I have a SHAD SH50 top case which is perhaps somewhat larger and heavier than for what this rack is intended. Since the fulcrum is set fairly far back (at the hinge point of the passenger seat) it results in a "diving board" effect with the top case bouncing significantly over bumps, even small ones. I unfortunately decided to remove mine and replace with a different, more rigid but also higher profile rack.

@@richardlee4438 4 bolts hold the rack in place. Removing the 2 bolts at the bottom will allow the rack to swivel up. You can then remove the seat. Thanks for watching the video.

No special tires. Stock Rally tires. You do have to shift your weight for max traction…hence the side saddle riding. Also, just be conscious of road salt as motorcycles don’t have the same level of rust protection as cars. Thanks for watching the video. Be well.

You need a secure mounting point for safety. The only 2 secure mounting points are the folding backrest or the subframe. If you mount to the subframe you need a “flying bracket” to avoid the assembly hitting the back tire. That’s why Can-Am has an asymmetrical (only one) saddlebag option. The back rest is designed to support a minimum of 3x the passenger torso weight at highway speeds which also factors for lateral impact. The bike is purposely designed to take your money via the Link Mounting System which forces you to buy multiple accessories and change them out for different occasions. ALL other aftermarket racks and saddle bags mount via the 6mm mudflap holes that are NOT designed to support additional weight and they ALL bottom out against the back tire when you hit a pot hole. As for the price, we give you Laser-cut 100% 304 stainless steel with an industrial powder-coat for the same price or less than all competitors that only use regular metal or aluminum. So been looking at these Ryker 900's seems the Rally is the way to go in my opinion. Would you take a Ryker on a 1000 mile round trip ? They don't seem to move to quickly as far as selling. This concerns me?

It’s actually a great bike. The Can-Am products are very reliable also. I’ve been with Can-Am products since 2007 with their ATVs and started my business in 2011 with their motorcycles. I have no complaints. However… Ryker is not designed as a cruising bike. It was purposely designed to be a local run-about. It has a small gas tank and on 1000 mile road trip in my opinion it would be extremely uncomfortable… It has a lot of wind buffering and helmet noise because of all of that wind. But that’s just my opinion. We do mostly local road trips now and trailer the bikes for longer distances. Good luck with what you decide. Thanks for watching the video

@@kirwinprovidence3225 thanks for the reply, yes i stopped by this weekend at a Can Am dealer he pretty much said the same. So typically I trailer my Honda ST1300 from Florida to North Carolina area and ride the mountains. I like AC and riding 600 miles even one way on a bike sucks in my opinion. So the Ryker should handle pretty well throughout the curves of the area I assume the gas tank size is not to bad 5.3 US gal vs my Honda is like 7.4 US gal Looked at the Spyder just way to big and to much money for a toy. Rode my friends and didn't really care for it. Think I will test drive a Ryker during Biketoberfest then make my decision.
