Sorry no you cannot. You need the passenger seat and also the folding back rest. That is the secret to it working correctly and not hitting against your back tire. Good luck

Another million dollar question to which there is no answer. Sorry…The closest thing to which you ask is the rotating adjustable handlebar option on the original Spyder RT, but they use a center bolting design that won’t fit the Rykers.

You need the passenger seat and the passenger folding back rest. That is the safest and most accurate way to install an aftermarket luggage rack and helmet case. The Cushion itself can be the fancy one but you need the passenger seat and the passenger folding luggage rack.

No. The folding backrest is the safest way to mount the luggage rack. Without it you need a support beam under the seat. Every time you hit a pothole hole you’ll slam against the bottom of your seat. That’s how all of the other set ups work. My setup is the safest way to avoid that problem. So you need the folding backrest

@@kirwinprovidence3225 I like your setup but I have to get the Ultimate seat so I sit higher to let my legs stretch out more because as of right now long rides suck. I have a stage 4 Elka rear shock so I don't have a problem with bottoming out but I thank you for the reply.

Personally I have not heard of a lift kit for the CanAM motorcycles. That could be cool though bc it’s hard to get some of the Spyders onto a trailer without a pre-ramp. Good luck!

@@Coolbreeze61 I would be concerned of it lowering the muffler too close to the ground. It would be more clearance in the front but less in the back. The bike was designed low to the ground to lower the center of gravity for drifting. The rear spring is more horizontal then vertical so I don’t see how you can lift the back. Lifting only the front would put the bike on an angle…. At least that’s what I think. Good luck.

Remove the two lower Bolts only and then you can flip the luggage rack up and remove and return the passenger seat to the Max Mount

This is a flat and level stainless steel platform. We have mounted many different luggage types. Some required us to drill a hole to accommodate whatever unique brackets. I see no reason why you should not be able to mount Nelson Rig. I have not tried one myself

You need a secure mounting point for safety. The only 2 secure mounting points are the folding backrest or the subframe. If you mount to the subframe you need a “flying bracket” to avoid the assembly hitting the back tire. That’s why Can-Am has an asymmetrical (only one) saddlebag option. The back rest is designed to support a minimum of 3x the passenger torso weight at highway speeds which also factors for lateral impact. The bike is purposely designed to take your money via the Link Mounting System which forces you to buy multiple accessories and change them out for different occasions. ALL other aftermarket racks and saddle bags mount via the 6mm mudflap holes that are NOT designed to support additional weight and they ALL bottom out against the back tire when you hit a pot hole. As for the price, we give you Laser-cut 100% 304 stainless steel with an industrial powder-coat for the same price or less than all competitors that only use regular metal or aluminum. CanAM already has a rack system for the bike without a passenger seat. They do not have a rack to add with a passenger seat. Its one or the other with CanAM. My system lets you have both.
