July has been quiet over all, knocked out a bunch of easy quick games, then began work on FFX HD Remaster. Have never beaten the game, least not as much as my memory serves me (as where I'm too now, I don't recall every being at). Enjoying my time with it and looking forward to getting the platinum in the game in due time. Always such a wonderful video, looking forward to the next one.

Atelier Sophie 2 being my 1st game of all these atelier series, finished it at about 150 hours, all I can say it was truly an amazing adventure. The engaging story, wholesome characters, world buiIding etc. I didn't quiet like the synthesis system at first but ended up so attached to it. I'm looking forward to play Ryza 3. Thanks for the review.

Firis is so cute but that plot to build the boat was so monotonous that it took me completely away from the experience. I hated the middle part. Firis deserved a better game, because she is a good character.

In July I played Tales of Berseria and Dave the Diver. Finally managed to get the platinum trophy for Berseria on the last day of the month. In August I started Dragon Quest XI and I'm already contemplating what to start next. I'll be done with Dave the Diver soon, so that will free up space for another game to play. I'm considering Trails from Zero or Atelier Ryza 1. DQ11 is a pretty long game and I want to play Metaphor when it releases in October, so maybe it's better to go for Ryza for now.

Honestly, I hope they put out a console release at some point since I would love to play the full game on the switch.

I finally finished beating Eiyuden Chronicles and I'm working on finishing Octopath 2. Trying to catch up to Daybreak is going to take a while. I had to to take a break after Azure.

I started playing caligula effect 2. I'm surprised by how much more fun it is over the first game.

For me all I did in July was play trails through daybreak and then with only a few days of the month left got through Neir Automata’s first ending.

Certain games have gotten new versions or translations when they were previously untranslated due to being part of the 4096 theory. 4096 is an interconnected "story collab" between many companies. Ciel Nosurge and particularly the song Class::CIEL_NOSURGE; are vital parts of explaining the theory itself so it's weird to me that they wouldn't try to translate it when obscure VNs like Akaya Akashiya Ayakashino would (not that I'm complaining about it being translated, tho it is typo filled). Genshin and Wuthering Waves, both part of the 4096, explicitly reference the Tonelico/Nosurge games and specific lyrics themselves. "The wave that transcends all the worlds shall save this world". Genshin may have even gotten permission to use Hymmnos but we'll have to wait for confirmation on that (if Dainsleif's real name turns out to be Enne). I guess they just decided it wasn't worth the money and time. To most people who don't know the context Ciel Nosurge is just going to come across as a cringe waifu simulator.

oh trust me Tara you are going to love Daybreak when you get around to it. i'm finally almost done with it and its a long one , probably the longest game in the series to date but it is so worth it! it is a very strong contender for Jrpg of the year and we aren't even done yet. In august i plan to play the new famicom detective game the smiling man while working on my backlog. sorry mana fans but i will be waiting on a sale for Vom😁😁

I guess I can say that I've officially started my re-entry to the "Atelier" franchise. I've gotten most of the entries now. I'm only missing the "Secret"/"Ryza" trilogy and "Marie Remake" at this point, though I am considering going back and grabbing some of the older entries I'm missing like "Iris 3" and "Annie". But as far as actually playing them, I managed to finish "Rorona Plus" this past month. I did finish the original way back around when it released but I wanted to start with the "Plus" version since out of all the "Plus" re-releases, "Rorona" especially saw a lot of changes instead of just being a port. I've already finished "Totori" and "Meruru", both being the "Plus" versions, so I guess I'm heading straight to "Ayesha" since I'm going by release order. "Lulua" is going to have to be for latter.

My Daybreak preorder got delayed by a week so I ended up knocking Loop8 off my backlog while waiting for it. Just finished Daybreak which was easily the best arc opener of the series. I tried to play the Visions of Mana demo but the performance was abysmal on ps4 so will have to wait for ps5 to play that one. Finally got past the apexi fights in Resna and enjoyed the academy event a lot. Current plans are to continue with backlog starting with Trials of Mana. Glad to hear you’re enjoying Xanadu, it’s a great game and I’m glad Falcom are finally returning to it

For me I'm actually all caught up on most of my jrpg's I finished trails through daybreak pretty quickly after it released the trails series is actually one of my favourites to replay

Played Sea of Stars in July and this month I have been playing Persona 5 Tactica and Fire Emblem Engage.

I'm slowly working on my Jrpg mountain aswell! Playing Dragon Quest VI rn because I had many modern games and wanted to have a change with a classic one. So far lots of fun, albeit a bit confusing when it comes to direction xD

July was Rebirth, and I'm pretty happy with it. This month I've been LOVING Daybreak

I am on trails to azure intermission too. Trying to finish the entire game out before summer is over as I won't have as much time to play during the fall semester. I really want to start cold steel soon!

Still in FF7 remake. However with how chapter 11 dragged it lead me to experience Jurassic World Evolution (the first game) as a change of pace and try my hand at building a dinosaur park. I got hooked on it as I found it quite addicting. Eventually I tore myself away from it and finished chapters 11 and 12 and plan on continuing FF7 remake and make some time for JP Evolution as my change of pace game.

Since last time, I ended up beating both Stella Glow and the Xenoblade 3 DLC Future Redeemed. As for Stella Glow, I thought it was a pretty good game. The story and characters were a bit cliche’d and generic, but it was a fun experience overall, with great strategy gameplay and having some fantastic music. Future Redeemed was a great return to the world of Xenoblade, which let me more excited for the future of the series with all of the callbacks to previous games like Xenoblade X and other Xeno games.

I've mostly went back to finish my second run through FF16 and got to play the DLC for the first time, which was fun. Now im just figuring out what to play next from my backlog. But Visions of Mana and Witch Spring R will be games I'll be getting this month

I spent most of July playing a bunch of newish metroidvanias. Knocked off Afterimage and Arzette, while dabbled with some others. Did a replay of Sly 1 since it re-released on Playstation. Wasn't much of a JRPG month for me though, I did finally crack open SMT Vengeance. I'm a bit cool on it so far, but I'll give it some time. I've also been staring at that Atelier Marie Remake game as my first intro to that series. It's on sale a bunch, and it seems like it wouldn't be a big commitment of time to find out if that's up my alley. My August plans are floaty. I plan to play Cat Quest 3 since I've got a co-op partner, and I'm really digging Pepper Grinder. There's a rumor that Star Ocean 5 might be coming of off Playstation Extra in Sept, and that might be my target for this month.

I ended up getting the Limited Edition of Trails through Daybreak. I don’t usually buy LE but not only am I loving the series so much the regular PS5 version was sold out here.

I'm on the end of day break it's good im someone who didn't do the crosbell arch but played all of the cold steel and revelry have fun the steel arch is amazing and will go for you heart with a katana

I just got to chapter 4 in Daybreak. Bit of a slow burn but I'm enjoying it

ON PS, I finished Jeanne d'Arc and then went back to an old save file (2022) of DBZ Kakarot, which I also finished (and although, I'm not at all a trophy hunter, I managed to platinum it). My go to Gacha at the moment is Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, so catching up on older content with a now stronger team :)

For July i got thur Gestalt steam and cinder, Super Monkey Ball banana Rumble and my second playthough of Trails through Daybreak. Rather glad i replay daybreak enjoyed it the second time around. Otherwise for August it seems to be Visions of mana for me at the end of the month and just maybe Wu Kong

I was hyped on this game for a while. A couple things killed it for me. -It being episodic was a huge turn off. The world looks stunning and to have it be missions set in seperate locales was a huge bummer. Not to mention that i accepted some side quests for the first mission, didn't complete them and could not go back to get them befire proceeding. - The action felt wayyy to hectic. Every twenty to thirty seconds a link attack then chaining into another and then a huge team smash and it just felt like i was watching as much as playing. -Finally, the Wholesome anime mood was grating. The constant " I know ill succeed through the power of friendship!" really wore on me. It felt like a Pixar movie. Maybe I'm an inattentive dullard but i really hope to give it another try down the road.

I really worried for buying the imposible YsOrigins currently😢

I honestly couldn't find a character I didn't like other than witch girl because her appearance was generic. Marion had the best animations and I honestly bought this for Linca. Music is also really good not just for Atelier but among RPGs as a whole. My only gripe is that to find new areas you HAVE to kill all the monsters in that area and I think also gather everything in there. The whole point of being selective on gathering is to not max out your basket and to maintain time progression but it doesn't even let you have that option.

I spent June playing Stellar Blade, which I ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would (I even started new game plus the next day I beat it). Definitely one of my favorite games of the year. I also played Resleriana to try to catch up with new chapters, but I didn't get far in that. I was able to properly level up my characters to get past the part I was stuck in and advance the story (I'm actually at the chapter you showed in this video with the black bird monster). I played some Star Rail and started Wuthering Waves. Fast forward to August and I finally started my Trails of Cold Steel playthrough. I bought Tokyo Xanadu Ex+ way back when it first came out on the PS4 and it's still sitting on my backlog. I'll get to it one day. 😅 Thanks for the video!!

Another tip If any of your allies is low on HP/MP you can just simply swap them out for another person before going on another adventure. It can save time and items to top them off. Don't be afraid to fire them, they understand... I don't think it lowers friendship or reputation.

I didn't know about the decorations. I thought the only decorations you get is for that hall and it's just for aesthetic/photo purposes. I've had faeries that came to clean my atelier for a fee and I've only done it once but I suppose keeping it clean also changes things?
