Outdoors, fast, alone (I haven't skated with anyone so far, so idk if I'd like that more), fun, nighttime until I get more comfortable with being perceived, music, lukewarm weather but leaning more to cold because I heat up fast.

It's hard to see pebbles and bugs at night 🥴
@spicyananaspizza13 күн бұрын
@@shannon.skates There's plenty of lighting in my town, and for the real dark parts I have a flashlight with me 😂 as for the pebbles, well they're also there during the day. I'd rather be stumbling at night than during the day. Only on the parts I am getting more familliar on I'm actually going fast. My country and most of its towns and cities are dense (small roads and paths), so a slower/cruising pace most of the time is necessary for me
@shannon.skates13 күн бұрын

You asked for tips on the outside edge, don't know if you have nailed it down since this video was a couple of months ago, but what you have to do is be really low, lean your body towards the side you want to get the edge on (so for your right foot outside edge, be low and learn towards the right), your body will try to autocorrect because it feels like u are going to fall, but its not the case, start gradually and you'll find u are there.
@Ace1stClass7711 күн бұрын
im going to try this, i feel like i have to mentally fight my body to stay leaned... its like a trust fall

By far the best beginner tutorial I've seen so far ! You did a really good job with explaining everything ! I just bought new inline skates fr 1 80 . You just inspired me to try or learn new tricks. I've started skating again after 20 years of inactivity a couple of years ago, but I didn't learn any new things, kept doing the same old things. Keep on progressing and posting tutorials ! 🙂
