Garrett (the one obviously not in RLM) sucks so bad. He feels straight out of Channel Awesome. He should’ve been in To Boldly Flee.

I was 15 when I saw this at the Loews Astor Plaza in Manhattan - twice! It was a 70mm blowup from the original 35mm. Unforgettable on the big screen! I never had a better time in the cinema.

Thank you for sharing this! It must have been such an experience! Pity that critics were so harsh when they reviewed it. I love that Spielberg inserted the cheer moment at the end, before the credits roll (in Raiders he inserted it when Indy gets on the UBoat). The score is so elating and heroic. What a rollercoaster ride of a film this is.

I remembered alot said Crusade was the best film but honestly I don't see why as a kid I kinda found it boring compared to Raiders and Doom

Also plays in the episode “Tales of a Third Grade Nothing” (Frank Sinatra Jr.’s second appearance),…BUT, only in the extended cut of the episode used on its DVD release and airings on Adult Swim; the regular version of the episode seen elsewhere places the credits over the final scene of the episode (Frank and Brian singing “Take Me Out to pLace Tonight”).

Even though Kahless can't provide any information on death and the next life, he responds with renewal and rebirth. Even though it's of the Klingon Empire and the hearts of its people, perhaps there some value in that answer.

There seemed to be a lot of implied lore around Garak that never amounted to anything. Constant hints that he is incredibly dangerous, yet in the end he is a consistent ally.

I guess that, in so doing, the writers had plenty of possibilities to develop his arc in different ways.

One of the amazing things is the storytelling is so good that we can totally believe that Kira- who's been emotionally broken down to one of the lowest points in her life- would instantly turn this man, who's effectively a total stranger to her for all she and we as the audience know, because there's something "real" about him in all of this turmoil.

The episode may be ridiculous, but it was easily the most entertaining and memorable of s1. My favourite part is how obvious it is that Terry wanted nothing to do with the scene, based on how she says everything starting at 1:49.

The best part for the aliens here, and one of the best things about nu-Picard being an android, is that all of Picard's memories, including his entire lifetime here, were brain-uploaded so that they could be put in the android. So not only does Picard's memories live on in the android, they're also in the Federation database - where the memories of Kataan could be studied by others, and even recreated in the holodeck in perfect detail. As far as being remembered goes, that probe was the best decision the Kataan aliens ever made, and it worked better than they could even imagine, all by chance.
