I've seen an Autocall setup from 1973 with those pull stations and old-style Federal Signal Vibratone 450 horns on Space Age AV32 light plates. It's since been upgraded to a cheap Fire-Lite system with SpectrAlert Advances, but they kept the pull stations.

I like all those tones that alarm has. I don't care for slow whoop sound as much, there's tones of slow whoop I don't mind listening to. There's 2 tones I reeeeeeeeeally don't like, UGH it bothers me, I can always send you links of which tones I'm talking about.

You could touch both battery terminals with your hand and nothing would happen. 24V isn't enough voltage to break/arc through your skin.

Don't burn your heat detectors as it can damage the detector. Use a hair dryer. If it is rate of rise.

When it comes to explaining the differences between things related to fire alarm systems, you are THE MOST helpful and informative, I gotta say. Question though: if pressing silence just turns off the two wire alarm, is it possible with some systems for the two wire device to keep sounding, horn included? Because my school used to have a Simplex system, with a SpectrAlert Advance for the outdoor alarm. Whenever we had fire drills after the system is silenced, the Simplex TrueAlerts are silenced and kept flashing, but the SpectrAlert Advance kept sounding, unlike the one shown in this video. Why is that? Could it be because the one at my school was a P2RK and not a P2R, or is it because of something different?
