This is the closest that I have come to the fire alarm system that was used in my elementary and middle schools. Both schools had an Edwards system complete with single stroke bells and Edwards coded pull stations. The code in the elementary school was 4-2-4. The code in the middle school was 3-1-3. This was most likely due to the fat that the boxes bearing those codes were located closest to the principal's office.

I think coded pull station days they had different codes. My middle school had 1-1-3 every 5 seconds for fire drills and one time it was 3-1-1 every 5 seconds. They were single stroke bells. They replaced it with the est genesis speaker strobes.

Wow, it seems a bunch of companies rebranded Couch's coded pull station. I've seen them branded by Faraday (who would ironically buy out Couch), Gamewell Alarmtronics, Simplex, Standard Electric Time...

Hey will you do a video where you break a glass rod in a Notifier NBG 10? My school has a break rod in their NBG 10s and I couldn’t find a video of a rod being broken except with toothpicks.

In a Fire if you had to pull a fire alarm with a ring on would you need to take it off as it can sometimes be hard to pull the handle? Would the ring affect pulling the lever? How do you adjust your grip when pulling these coded pull stations. Some people may not realize how hard it is to pull it especially if they never pulled it before. So how do you adjust the grip on the lever to ensure you don't let go. Would you need to pull it a little bit out and adjust the grip and pull it down or have to do it a second time because you let go too soon. Do some people think that the lever would not snap back up and pull it down again thinking the lever would stay down? What do people think when pulling it in a fire and the lever goes back up. Thanks
