I love my Wellsaw.....only a model 300, but it is a cutting machine....... recently had to get a part for it, it is a 1960 build.....I called, and they got me the Parts dept....well, I said I need a gear for the 300, they right away told me the part number, I mean within 2 seconds..... they said it was the only thing that ever goes wrong..... .well, the part arrived 3 days later and fit perfect....I highly recommend Wellsaw....Paul in Florida

Paul, this does not surprise me one bit. Wellsaw is known for high quality and great customer service. The machinery they sell is meant to last and they have an extensive parts department to help service their equipment - even equipment that is decades old. Thank you for sharing!

I have a liquid nitrogen tank that vents from the pressure relief valve every minute. It is a bit annoying. Would opening the pressure building valve help with this?
@You_are_Right_4 ай бұрын
No, it would build more pressure. You want to keep the pressure lower than the safety set pressure.

It should do fine as long as the steel is in the annealed state and is not hardened. The Metal Devil blades are not recommended for steel hardness above Rockwell C 25.

Let me just say how angry I am at manufacturers of metal chop saws. I would like to say it with a question. Are you stupid, or lazy? Mitering wood cutting chop saws have been around for decades and none of you thought to incorporate a mitering adjustment table in your products? I just bought this saw and I love it! To the guy in the comments whining about the mess it makes, it's a lot less than a typical chop saw and how exactly do you cut metal without some kind of debris? My first project with it was a framework of thin square tubing. Welding thin tubing with perfect gapless joints every time is well worth the $850 I paid for this saw. Every other manufacturer may now stick it up your a@#, I am now inclined to buy Evolution tools.

The first hypertherm i used was a 900, it had the moving nosel, the cuts were all over the place, then they pushed a retrofit torch with a moving electrode and a spring in the torch head, next i used a 1000, it had the moving electrode as the retrofit torch for the 900, over time the spring in the torch head fail's and you have to change it out, so they pushed a retrofit torch that had the spring on every electrode instead of the torch head, i have not heard of any problems with that style or torch, hypertherm sucks, when one of their designs is flawed they should offer the upgrade to an original purchaser cheap, not be jerks about it and make us pay full price.

GREAT video and excellent information. I'm a novice. I make vibraphone frames (percussion instrument) out of aluminum profiles. I just purchased Morse Aluminum Blade but I've been using the standard steel cutting blade that did fine for quite a while. I'm having difficulty cutting my profiles at a true 90 degree angle. How do you set up your angles on the vice to get them as accurate as you can? I have everything shown in this video.
@puritycylindergases9 ай бұрын
There are a couple ways you can try to true up the vise jaw angle. Probably the easiest is to take a right-angle square or layout square and set one end against the vise jaw (on the inside between both jaws) and make sure the other side (perpendicular side) lays flat against the blade. If the teeth on the blade won’t allow the square to lay flush with the blade make sure the square and the blade are parallel. You also have to be careful not to move the vise jaws when tightening to the base once you set your angle. Although this saw is considered fairly accurate cutting, it still comes down to what tolerances you are aiming for. Even a CNC saw set-up will have a plus/minus tolerance. Please let us know if you area still having an issue and we will see what other advice we can lend. Best way to reach us is to contact a local branch nearest you: www.puritygas.com/locations/ Thank you!!!

@puritycylindergases9 ай бұрын
The saw does a great job holding true angle cuts, especially at 45° because it has a positive stop for that setting.

@puritycylindergases Жыл бұрын
MCAW is generally intended for flat and horizontal welding. However, if you have a pulse capable power source, running vertical and overhead can be achieved with this method. The wire feed speed will need to be in the 150-250 IPM for 0.045 wire.

Nice machine, but all of those runs were off except for the 1/4" bead. With pulse, you have to hold a 3/4" - 1" contact tip to work distance and you will be rewarded with spatter/spark free droplet transfer. That is not happening here. You can clearly hear crackling, where there should only the buzz from the spatter-free pulse peaks. Odd since there were Miller Rep's doing the demo'ing. Perhaps just old-habits from short-circuit....

😂😂 TRYING to put down the previous Hypertherm unit and ITS interchangeable consumables was a HORRIBLE ATTEMPT to promote a MONEY GRAB for a product that actually doesn't give you a better price per cut!!... I have both units and the previous unit with multiple consumables is BY FAR a better unit!!...on the other hand ONCE the SYNC unit cartridge is used up its trash! no way to stretch its use..but hypertherm told me you can override the error ....BUT THE ERROR COMES BACK WITHIN A FEW MINUTES.. previous GEN unit consumables can be cleaned and reused!... THIS WAS A BAD IDEA PERIOD NICE TRY THO!!

This is exactly what I am thinking, we have 4 of the older machines, the cut quality doesnt matter much for what we do but price per cut does.
