@@alirz2640 During normal driving the compressor is doing nothing. It will only turn on during fast accelerations. The battery capacity is some minutes. The electric motor will heat up faster so could be the limiting factor. The electric motor is around 5kW and the charger is around 500W so 1 sec of boosting requires 10sec of charging.

Interesting graph. Its all stock, only torqamp + maibe ecu setting? Strange what a torque and power on hi rpm dont go higher on so small engine size. Looks like it just need more fuel and new fuel pump and fuel injector can make help. I see concept - easy install turbo mode what really work. It dont gives high boost because high boost requires lots of engine tunning for durability... but I’m wondering what kind of gain it can give with propper install on small engine )))

Seriously thinking about picking one up...Can you adjust how much boost you get with throttle position? If so how is it hooked up? Does a 140amp alternator provide enough charge to have it run continuously without needing charging breaks at lets say 50% usage?

It's because of the compressor design. For a 3.5L engine in the higher rpm's you need a larger comprssor wheel. The TorqAmp compressor tested on this car is more suitable for slightly smaller engines.

@@TorqAmp Larger compressor wheel, would that be the "turbo fan"? I'm looking at getting one for my VQ35, I would just like to figure out how to get a bit more top end power with this. Would something like a larger electric motor work, or is the compressor portion unable to go to higher rpms? Thanks for the reply!

Wel echt mooi een electrische turbo! Die 100hp motoren zijn eigelijk geknepen abarth 595 blokken, vraag mij af wat er van verschilt? binnen een paar jaar wil ik graag een abarth 595 blok in mijn seicento willen standaard 136pk laten met turbo dat is dan voldoende op 730kg :)

How was this set up? Was it in a series? Like the torqamp into the cold side of the supra turbo?

In this case the TorqAmp was placed after the turbo with some bypass system, you can find our website. We recommend to place the TorqAmp in front of the turbo with the bypass. This keeps the TorqAmp cooler.

Jesus I have server fans that push more CFM than those ebay POS'. Sadly, TorqAmp you arrived on-scene 5-years too early and 36v over what would make the system a success. With recent improvements in battery tech, in addition to other solid systems like the 12v one made by Duryea, you almost made it.

We are still there and we have the 48V system which is charged by the regular 12V system. It's plug 'n play go get more air in your engine!

I think your system would benefit greatly from a butterfly bypass valve at the output end to bypass the TA while not boosting to lower drag while not in use.

Hello. I've been riding this for over 4 years now, the compressors feel great, unlike the car. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fZuphKmbtp_dgYU.html - boost is limited by the strength of the transmission kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sNWAet1_vMuZdmQ.html - 1.2 bar maximum from one compressor, but the transmission can’t handle it, so I limited the boost.

Most important is the air flow through your engine. So a low a large low revving engine is also possible. Or a two TorqAmp kits. What's your engine size and max engine rpm?

i think this will have a little more benefits over the belt driven supercharger in that it wouldn't be robbing the engine from kenitic energy. what i mean is because belt driven supercharger robs the engine from energy simply by driving the charger via belt

Yes indeed, depending if there is a one way valve in the vacuum line. With one way valve there will only be under pressure on the vacuum lines and no boost.

Showed an 8% restriction….when off ….at max engine speed. Showed a 14% increase in airflow at max engine speed. Mid range showed an average 25% increase in air flow.

No not necessary, but you can consider it. In general people don't add an intercooler with a TorqAmp.

I want do the twin setup on my SBC 350 and do a video, but the cost on this has gone way up. Also, if you're using this on a classic Chevy that is carbureted, wouldn't you need a blow through carburetor?

Hi, yes you always need a carburetor that works under pressure. Or you have to suck the air fuel mixture through the compressor. But we highly recommend a blow through carb. Sometimes you can convert your carb.

In general people don't use an intercooler with the TorqAmp. This is more interesting for higher pressures such as on a diesel engine with turbo.

One kit should give nice gains in the lower rpm range. Two kits will give gains over the whole rpms range. Hard to predict for a rotary engine because we don't have experience with these in terms of air mass flow. In general we can say 40% gain in the lower rpm's is realistic.

You always need an additional battery to get some good gains. The 12V battery is too limited.

Can it be used continuously if I use control box and pedal sensor to make it boost according to the throttle position and limit the maximum boost to 50%?

It is possible to use the TorqAmp continuously but you need additional cooling which we can offer. For normal street applications this is not necessary because you don't drive continuously full throttle. Otherwise the compressor is blowing against a partially closed throttle valve which is not necessary. For some industrial customers we made additional cooling so they can run continuously. So it depends on your application. With the ControlBox you can indeed change the TPS value at which the TorqAmp compressor starts rotating slowly and also maximum boost could be lowered.
