300 hours on average for 99 slayer is a joke. Most people rush quests, unlock all the terrible tasks, and average 5-15k exp an hour. More realistically for the casual player, who doesn’t avoid most quests, does some boss tasks, and doesn’t already have 20b on his other accounts, slayer is a 500-1000 hour skill. 300 hours is if you avoid questing, and focus on bursting. 170 hours is if you are literally using 3 other accounts for spec transfers the entire time. Which like using runners… Doesn’t count

Back in the normal RuneScape firemaking was my first 99. It cost me way more hours and way more money. Remember spending 30 mil on it for yew logs. That was like in 2007 or something.

I quit RuneScape because of my best money method. I sold everything i had, than i studied all the leveling guides. You simply buy essential leveling items at a low price and than sell them at double xp events. Maybe I return one day to finish all quests.

I got tangleroot literally on my last tree I checked when I hit 99. I hit 99 farming and then decided to go just check the health on the rest of my trees, and I finished on the one in lumbridge and that got me the pet. I had no idea it was the rarest drop in the game

If it improves the game I would say that these items are fine to add. that free to play has more stuff to work towards than back in 07 isnt bad. nostalgia is gone. there are very few players that would still get into the game because of their childhood memories. if it makes the new player experience better for actual new players then why not. Adjsutments can always be made ofcourse, like the free runes and rune saving ability of the robes.
