I hated her poem it was actually so fucking ridiculous. I’m half black and half white. I’ve never had an issue fitting in with either race because I just act like a normal fucking person. Half the time that mixed people have trouble fitting in is because they’re not being their selves they’re too focused on trying to appease to either race which is weird asf. Like imagine just trying to socialize with someone just on a normal level, not even thinking about what race they are, and they’re sitting there so obviously trying to pander to you and let you know that you have things in common. I get that sometimes there are real issues, like I have encountered real racist people but you know what I did? I stopped associating with them instead of crying how I don’t fit in. Like duh you don’t fit in nobody is gonna fit in with a racist but another racist. Just be your fucking selves I’ve literally never had this problem of “too black or too white” and neither have any of my other mixed friends

So now black people are kicking other black people out of "being black" because they aren't black enough?" **Laughs Out Loud** It's no wonder your culture can't be taken seriously. What's next? If you can vote and have an I.D., then you aren't black? LOL

I loved this vid but i wanted to point out one thing about the umbrellas. Although it IS pretty janky that Black people had to carry them, the truth is... who BUT BLACK people could withdlstand the Sun to even carry the umbrellas? Back then, WP didnt have sunscreen. Trade and barter wouldnt have even existed for them if a Black petson didnt meet them at the coast with an umbrella cuz theyd burn to a crisp in less than 60secs😂

I personally dont like cardi b. But this is the consequences of the community hyperfixated on us and how we identify. I have never been policed about me being mixed until i came into your community (for context, im Jamaican. We do not have a culture of pretending mixed isnt a thing or semantics around mixed aka the convos surrounding justine skye being “blk” with a Punjabi grandma…which is not a blk experience). Im sorry. But this is equally ados fault. Many of you will value what non blk ppl say about blkness over “purity”. And its bizzare. Even the hyperclaiming of the more blatantly blk mixed ppl (Chili only to drag her for her mixed hair and lie and say her bengali father is a bm…but i forgot SEA are blk too 🙄🙄🙄). I noticed ADOS people love claiming everyone BUT themselves. Look how they constantly reference horne africans or coloureds or MICRONESIANS WHO ARENT OF AFRICAN DESCENT AT ALL!!! If more of you would be 100% honest, a lot of this could be avoided

While i do understand her video's message. I do also feel like the pursuit of long hair isn't a bad thing, long hair to many people is proof of their hard work raising and managing their hair. However, i think it comes from the way you judge if you have long hair or not. A white woman with silky long hair shouldn't be the standard black women with kinky hair should measure themselves with. Kinky hair can look visibly short, but the hairs themselves will be longer, and you can show that length if you chose to blowdry it for example. Even when kinky hair gets wet and you pull at a strand it can be extremely long. So I think the way in which we judge what long hair is, is Eurocentric to some degree.

You made excellent points as per usual. The material on Paris was sitting right there. This was a missed opportunity for Cardi to support and back up blk women. Also caregiving burnout is so real. If you have other family or community to assist, please seek them out. Self care and protection of your own health will make you a balanced caregiver ✨💜✨

OK, but Jocelyn Hernandez dips in and out of blackness when it’s convenient for her as well. She is absolutely not a black woman. The only time she ever claimed to be a black woman is when she was trying to justify using the N-word on her show.

Lets be real..nobody wants to be fat. Especially celebrities. She was attacking her based on what she think would be hurtful but that girl wasnt even huge though. Also i like Cardi but thee colorism in the female rap industry is so in our face. I mean we made Bhad Babie, Saweetie, and Ice Spice famous.

Cardi B is the biggest hypocrite: "Im an afro-latina" - "I like to date people who arent my race" husband happens to be a darkskin black man "You fat bitch" - Has a million surgeries because she cant stand the gym "Be a boy" - Your best friend is a gay blogger (Who happens to be a spanish man cosplaying as a black woman) "You talked about me as a mother and my child" (Talking about Nicki Minaj liking tweets which happened to be fake) - But she talked about a black woman and her DEAD child calling them monkeys and roaches (also happened to have been exposed by nicki) Its just crazy how for so many years people let Cardi get away with dragging ACTUAL black women and people dragged them along with her all because she makes the bare minimum music and barely makes any in general But Tyla I think thats different, shes not from the western world her understanding of race is different from ours and she also grew up with certain things being African and not neccesarily black

She’s a Hispanic woman who can never be on top in her own community with women like Shakira as the standard so she can come to the black community and be put on a pedestal due to our anti blackness and loveeee for proximity hence why majority of her fans are black women she feels better than and who want to look like her and be “exotic” she can say that to her fans because she sees herself as better as long as she’s not black. And her fans can accept that because they feel inferior to her. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You were spot on with the Tyla and Cardi B comparison tbh. The fact that she decided to lean into blackness has been so interesting especially lately given where she was raised and how she came up. Being a black NYer it is very regular to have conversations with people close to my skin tone (I am brown skinned and dark skinned in the summer months) that will claim to be everything under the sun but black. And this is just a normal acceptable thing especially in the Bronx due to the stark cultural differences you see everyday between Latinos, African Americans, Caribbean Americans and Africans. It’s really bizarre but I’ve kind of gotten used to it. But it’s so obvious that Cardi (and even Tyla) is kind of learning that if you’re going to be black, being at the lighter end of the spectrum and being embraced will not only benefit you but boost your career. It’s just annoying how she’s still operating out of this Bronx Dominican girl mindset while also getting the few yet notable benefits of access to blackness at a whim.

Idk this whole situation is weird to me because Paris should have minded her business she is no better than Cardi B as she is thirsty for her man and in his DMs. The reason why Cardi beefs with dark skin black women is because they are in her business too much, stop pouring energy and following up with people like Cardi B. Why does Paris even care that she isn’t doing well ? Black female rappers are doing well let’s focus on them and ignore Cardi. Also I followed Cardi B before she was famous and she seemed like an ally to me she spoke up against texturism that Gabby Douglas was facing and she faces the same thing for not having “Spanish girl hair”. She shouldn’t be speaking on Paris’s body but Paris has that same low vibrational energy…..
