I made a few of these a few weeks ago, and I want to point a few things: use a tube or any cylindrical shape object on the neck of the bottle when it's getting dry, so the mouth of the bottle is a perfect circle so it won't leak. Use any old tea pot to melt wax in it, so it's much easier to handle when pouring it inside the bottle. And you really nailed it, great job!

Can you make one out of fur leather
@diycimbrerАй бұрын
Yeah I guess you could 😉👍🏻 although I’ve never done that 🏕🔥 Tom
@primozimo3041Ай бұрын
@@diycimbrer Well I did it, took 3 days but it's done. Used a rabbit pelt, had to add a felt sheet that had adhesive as a backer for added strength on the pelt. And some soft yarn instead of leather strapping for the pull cord. The biggest hurdle was figuring out how to glue the wide strap to the fur on the pelt side while I pinned and sewed it. Then I remembered that spray gorilla glue, works great for holding down hair permanently (lol) I just so happened to have some. Sprayed the leather strap, just the strap not the pelt, put some weight on it and let it set for about 12 hours while I went to work. It worked and it held great, now I wasn't about to just rely on that while I sewed so I pinned it down for added strength. It came out looking good, 1st time I've tried anything like that. Something about this video just lit a fire that said " I must make this, with a rabbit pelt." So I did. It's going to be a b'day gift. If I keep it I won't make more, if it's gone I'll want to make another.

I totally love that idea. Maybe I will try to build it. I do have some questions though: It's been a year since you posted the video, so maybe you might be willing share some experiences with the pouch ;) Have you noticed any "leather taste" in your salts an peppers? And what about moisture? Depending on the weather it might be difficult to avoid that leather and/or spices could absorb humidity and the like🤔 Still a totally lovely idea. I like especially the way to fixate the middle part with the toggles!

I'm confused. I thought the whole point of creating primitive tools was to show how to do it with natural materials found in the natural environment. Why use modern tools to create primitive tools? If one has modern tools, wouldn't it make more sense to just use those to get the job done?

Looks like my nut sack...I always have my nutsack wherever I go. People always comment on it. How smooth and supple. Rich brown tones. My nutsack definitely turns heads and satisfies a hungry mouth. Sometimes my sack starts to dry out so I rub it down with some conditioner. One day I was at a Ren Fair rubbing my sack down when a fair lady approached and offered to help. I said I would be great if she rubbed my sack so I could focus on waxing my staff. I always go in costume and dress as a wizard. I have a huge staff and just like my sack it can get worn and chaffed from much use so I wax it good. So there I was waxing my staff while she rubbed my sack. It was a great day to be sure.
