I recently noticed that the Somewhere In Time cover has a larger Eddie in the sky and buildings. The Moon surrounded by clouds is one eye, and the windows of the shops (on the left) are his teeth! 😮

The 30th anniversary Defenders of the Faith on iTunes includes an additional double live album-live in Long Beach 1984- and I think the sound quality on it is far better than on the Priest… Live album from that same era. And without all the Turbo songs.

I love stoff upper lip and satellite blues. My top 5 songs. Tnt and jailbreak is last for me cause its just the high voltage album. My top 5 albums: for those about to rock, fly on the wall, powerage, power up, black ice. Thats personal opinion. But objectively is back in black number 1. Dude! Enjoying your video reviews this evening - first watched you ranking AC/DC, then Priest and now Sabbath. But holy fuck, when you ranked 'Born Again' ahead of the debut, I had to say something! During the AC/DC video, you poured scorn of fans ranking 'Powerage' ahead of 'Back in Black' on the basis that yes, maybe we've overheard the BIB tracks but they're still classics - and I actually kinda agreed. I prefer Powerage but can acknowledge that BIB is probably better. But then... THEN... you rank 'Born Again' ahead of the debut, completely ignoring the same criteria. Ignore the fact that they blew the studio speakers when mixing the album and therefore fucked it up to the point that Gillan cried when he heard the final mix... there's no way anyone would rank any of those songs ahead of what's on the debut. All friendly chat, btw, still lovin' these reviews my friend!

I don't dislike any of the albums, just I prefer some over others in terms of how they spoke to me. Which kills me as Piece Of Mind is lower on my list than most others, and I appreciate the album more than I did when I first picked it up, but others do more for me. How do you not consider The Devil You Know as Sabbath? It's the exact lineup as Mob Rules and Dehumanizer. That was purely a marketing decision. TDYK is absolutely a Sabbath album.

FTATR over LTBR and Powerage? No

Quoting "If you want to hear trash, listen to a country album!" I couldn't agree more! My favorite Sabbath album is Vol. 4, but most of their stuff is pretty good; even the Tony Martin years have some decent songs, not on Forbidden IMO.

My top 5 of Dio solo: 1. The Last in Line. (not a weak track) 2. Holy Diver (classic, but not as good as the followup) 3. Dream Evil (very strong) 4. Sacred Heart (underrated riff on Shoot, Shoot) 5. Strange Highways (to me, Dehumanizer II. Hollywood Black, Firehead, Title Track). Stronger albums earlier on. Really love all four albums Dio did with Sabbath. Really love those first three Rainbow albums, and the live album Rainbow On Stage. Great singer, great artist and sadly missed \m/ \m/

I must say this, just popped to my mind. Didn't the original Sabbath guys paint Bill Ward (or some other member) with goldpaint at some point? And the victim fell sick.... And if basically the same thing happened here with this album cover!!!!!
