Still lumion gives more realistic renders
@TwinmotionGuru5 күн бұрын
I think that the same 3D rendered with the best possibile tools with lumion, twinmotion and d5 will generate perfectly equal results, noone is better than the others. The only difference between them is the workflow to get to the final result, and in my opinion Twinmotion is the best 😁 and then is completely free, lumion is completly out of market 🤭

Saying that you use sketchup for the models. Is this something that I can trust to make an accurate model of a theater for example ?

It depends on the theater shape: if it s linear, sketchup is perfect, if you have some organic shape i suggest other free form software libero rhino or blender

How can we fix detailed grass disappearing when zooming out ?
@TwinmotionGuru11 күн бұрын
You can fix it going on Edit-> Preferences-> Grass fading-> Far, but it depends on the engine you're using: with Standard and Lumen the grass disappears as you move away. With Path Tracer, on the other hand, it never disappears

very disappointing : in all the others 3d software the AO has a different meaning., shadowing adiacent surfaces. it is not texture dependant but geometry dependant . in TM this is only a diffusion map on steroids
@TwinmotionGuru13 күн бұрын
First of all, know that I will use the comparison with steroids from now on, very creative! With respect to what you write instead, you refer to 3D models, whereas AO is precisely for increasing the shadow effect on planar surfaces and is a feature of the rendering world in general, not Twinmotion, which normally relies on textures. AO acts on the dark parts of the texture it is based on, as I showed in the video. I hope I have been clearer. See you soon!

Does twinmotion has uvw randomizer or multitexture, if not then what can we do about it
@TwinmotionGuru17 күн бұрын
No, at the moment TM doesn't have both layer materials nor uv randomizer, it will in the next future 🤫
@MauroMan_17 күн бұрын
I wish Twinmotion had a real displacement, actually this is my big disappointment with TM... In fact Epic Games can't do it, since I don't think even Unreal has it... Look at those columns with stone brick textures, in which you see the edges completely straight, and not like in Vray, which treats them realistically and makes them jagged, like in real life. I hope they include it in the next version.
@TwinmotionGuru17 күн бұрын
I'm now a very UE expert but you should be right: even UE doesn't have displacement. TM will only be integrated with tools that you find in UE, so let's hope they add it into UE!

This is your best video yet. So detailed and informative! I am confused though. 1lm is the power of a small flashlight, why is it making so much light?? Are these just for lumen or also for right for pathtracer? Is the unit scale messed up? A spot light should be at least 20lm am I wrong? Ps did you a appply an emissive material to the hangning light?
@TwinmotionGuru19 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for all the comments you post under my videos; you are officially the most active follower, thanks! I applied the same emissive material to all the lamps, if I remember correctly, it's 10 lumens. As for light in general, the topic is too complex to explain in a comment, so I will definitely make a video about it. In any case, as long as you use the Twinmotion sky, the emissive values (materials and artificial lights) will need to adapt to the sun's power (100k lumens). However, if you use the sun's power from an HDRI, the emissive values will be infinitely lower, both in Lumen and Path Tracer.
