I had it for a week I had two days of it worst of it was bed ridden. Lost my taste and a light smell for a while I got used to it then it slowly came back. COVID-19 sucked politics behind it didn't help much ether. This world is not better still seeing people who wears masks 2024 world is depressive year of all.

I've been doing tons of reading online. Research articles from the Biologist, Professors ect, that studied them, regeneration, environment ect. I was SHOCKED, not because of what I've read and learned so far but Axolotl require Brackish water and I've yet to hear anyone presently who speaks of how crucial this is for them. In their research they also found that the lighter colored Axolotl were almost always found in higher salinity Brackish water than the darker ones, who were found in less Brackish waters, but still Brackish waters. Needles to say I have been slowly acclimating my clutch to brackish water and I noticed an immediate difference. My adults who had stopped growing, have now begun to grow again and their gill filaments have nearly doubled.

3:48 OMG you have 2 eggs that are fused! Lucky you! If the egg manages to hatch you will be left with a chimera axolotl!!
@axolotllifeaquatics4492
@axolotllifeaquatics4492 Жыл бұрын
That's not actually how that works. Chimera axolotls are not possible in nature. They are man made. Two embryo in one egg is very common. They won't fuse.
@Bidou_499
@Bidou_499 Жыл бұрын
@@axolotllifeaquatics4492 I know. But sometimes water pressure on an egg will push toward an egg so the 2 embryos can fuse

I apologize, this is a late comment. So I have my two axolotls together female and male and I just keep thinking what are the main things I need in order to have and hatch healthy axolotls, my axolotls haven’t breeded yet so I’m just trying to get as much info I search some stuff up on google & safari but don’t get much info…also do I feed my axolotl right after they are born? And do I feed my female axolotl while she is laying eggs or when she is done laying her eggs..? One more thing if some of the eggs don’t make it do I flush them down the toilet because I don’t know what to do with them…Thank you for your time.

I read an axolotl owner who had two axolotls but one jumped out of the aquarium and never recovered. It died. She talked about how the other axolotl just kept looking for his tankmate. Seems odd that they jump out of their tank.

@@moniqueshakes8529 I'm honored that you trust my knowledge! Always do research for yourself as well and always keep learning. I learn new things everyday. You can get cans of brine shrimp right from Amazon. There are many places to get them but I find it easy to get a lot of things from Amazon. I will go over everything once I get home. To get you this info as fast as possible I will do very little video editing. If you need food now for your hatching I suggest you don't wait. They need to eat everyday and straight away after hatching.

@@moniqueshakes8529 sorry I have not made a video yet. I have been out of town. You should separate the male and female. If she breeds too often her body could give out and it could kill her. She shouldn't mate more than every 2 months. If you are only breeding one pair I would use distilled water for the eggs. You won't have to change the water in the eggs unless the water gets cloudy. Once hatched I change the water every day unless the babies are in a cycled tank. Then I do it once a week. You should have 2 brine shrimp hatcheries going at once. Make one once you have your first one hatch. Then if you make a new one every day while the other is ready to use you will have shrimp available every day. Once the babies have both front and back legs start feeding bloodworm or blackworms. They will need better nutrition as they grow

@@moniqueshakes8529 they should grow their front legs within 2 weeks and back legs 2-3 weeks after that. Sorry I've been absent. The city I live in tripled the amount of Chlorine in our water. I didn't know this and it destroyed my RO system and uncycled almost every tank I have. Which is a lot! I've been struggling to keep everything alive while I correct the issues. After this experience I would advise using more Prime in your water than recommended and let your water stand in a container to release the Chlorine b4 adding it to a tank. I learned a very valuable lesson this past month. My largest and oldest male died as a result. Please be careful with your water. This has never happened to me in many years but there is a first for everything

Yes absolutely perfect for the eggs!! No live plant matter to decay!!! I just found your channel and I'm addicted already. Got my first baby Leucistic axolotl 2 weeks ago. Completely in love!! Totally terrified!! I put it in a 10 for now but with black sand substrate. Few live plants. Rocks stacked to make a secure cave. I've trained it to feed in a glass jar to try to prevent it ingesting sand. I don't want it to get impacted!! Eating blood worms like a champ!! Has ghost shrimp for company/ snacks. A couple mystery snails for friends and clean up. So far so good! Very happy that i found your channel!! Looking forward to more videos!! Ps.. I watched the video that explained your absence. Will be praying for ya'lls recovery! Hang in there!!
