@Samuelheaton10Ай бұрын
If you are doing sandwiches and hot food it’s moving a little more away from vending and more like a mobile cafe. Best thing would be to check your council on this. As you’d have to look at expiry dates, refrigeration etc. Sorry I can’t be of more help!

On the new year eve of 2014, 310,000 people gathered around the bund to celebrate. An incident triggered a stampede which resulted the death of 31. Since then the government issued strict measures around the area to prevent it from happenning again. The soldiers were there as human fence to regulate crowd flow especially during national holidays as May1. This is why the soldiers were unarmed but police were.
@Samuelheaton10Ай бұрын
I see. Interesting 🤔
@ivyshy982 ай бұрын
you probably went during the first week of may? it's a national holiday and I believe they brought several navy ships to dock near the bund. the soldiers are more for show than anything since all they do is stand in place for their shifts. also not everyone you think is police is police... many are just security guards for the shopping areas.

Depending on which day you went the busyness and police presence might be because there was a public holiday may 1st to may 5th! A lot of domestic tourism to shanghai happens around that time and police are there to regulate the crowds.
@jamesji61322 ай бұрын
yeah, I don't see that much police presence when I was there. I would say better to avoid May1st, Oct1st, New year and Lunar New Year Holidays.

they had a people stampede a few years back at the bund and a bunch of people died so they have much more police during holidays there now to make sure crowd doesn't get too big.

how to take over vending machine business
@Samuelheaton103 ай бұрын
I’m not sure I understand
@thomaskoukouris40703 ай бұрын
I don't really get it tho, you buy a 2k vending machine to generate £100-150 a month profit? Plus the maintenance and the expenses wouldn't that take a year to make actual profit from it?
@Samuelheaton103 ай бұрын
In this instance yes but after a year your cash flowing pretty well. Way I see it is if you put your cash into the markets you’re looking at 10% return every year, vending however this is more like 100% +. It depends the way you look at it and some machines can make more each year depending on the stock.
@thomaskoukouris40703 ай бұрын
it would be helpful t make a video going over finances...you made £26 in cash plus say £120 in card sales. That's 146 round up to £150. Say half is cost of goods so you're left with £75. Take away insurance, petrol to go restock them, maintenance. Lets say you are left with £50 per machine (75-25). That's £100 in a month. That means you would need about 30 such vending machines to start making a healthy living (30 x £100 = £3000 profit per month). if a vending machine such as this costs £2k that would mean you had to spent £60k to buy these vending machines. Is that a liable business? again, I don't know what I'm taking about but it would be helpful to go over the finances. Cheers for the quality videos.
@thomaskoukouris40703 ай бұрын
why would you place a vending machine in a restaurant? Aren't the people there to eat cooked food?
@Samuelheaton103 ай бұрын
Vending wise I would only put a tower machine in there. Don’t just see it as food it’s entertainment for the kids. I don’t mean a fancy pants restaurant more like a pub restaurant or chain restaurant.
@thomaskoukouris40703 ай бұрын
what does the shop get in return for you placing your machine there, I don't see why they would agree to it...
@Samuelheaton103 ай бұрын
Tower machines get donations to charity which shops love to be able to do without a cost on themselves and full line machines increase staff morale and productivity leading to the business to be more productive and could lead to more revenue for them!

Hi Samuel, First off love your videos. Really informative. Great job. I have a question relating specifically to tower vending machines. My question is. Other than the obvious permission from land owner to place the machine on site. Are there any other legal loopholes holes you need to jump through at all?

Is this really worth it when the machines are 1-2k and you only get £100-200 profit a month
@Samuelheaton103 ай бұрын
If you pay £2k for a machine and it returns £200 a month that would be £2,400 per year which is a 120% return on investment. Much better than the average stock market return of 10% per year.

Might seem like a stupid question but, your buying products taking them home and putting them in a vending machine for the public how do the public know you haven’t opened a bottle and put something in it?
@Samuelheaton103 ай бұрын
The same way you hope restaurant staff do not spit in your food. Unfortunatley there is not much once can do to prove this but most people would expect the vending machine owner to be a decent business person.
