A note on the Pi 4 - the audio headphone jack was redesigned to improve that sound over the previous generations. A DAC would still be useful, but isn't as needed on a Pi 4

Great video. ....but i tried updating to ver 2.2 in June 2024.... when I connect to Windows computer and opened the Components...it says there is an update. After successful updating ....the version shows 126.618 on the summit screen instead of ver 2.2. On my computer screen it says 'Your Summit is running Vcustom build 2126 FGPA 778 ' How come it doesn't show ver 2.2 which is supposed to be the latest version? Thanks!

It might mean that the update hasn't happened. As you have a Summit there might be some slightly different procedures to this video - you could always reach out to Novation Support and see if they can help! Best of luck!

Thanks for the info. I was able to take mine out and rebuild it because the wheel "fell apart" Spring and all. After an hour with your help It's working again🎉

If you feed a vco output into the 'sig in' on the mixer and out (labelled 1 or 2) into the behringer mults module. It raises the power enough to stop pitch drop when using several outputs. A tip I found on the Tim Shoebridge page 👍

I'm confused... What happened to the 38? I thought you said there would be 4 messages sent: 98 for NRPN LSB, 99 for NRPN MSB, 6 for DATA MSB, and 38 for DAT LSB... I don't see 38 anywhere on the MIDI monitor. What am I missing?

After the show - I had a bit more of a think about the Behringer Syncussion SY-1. I think they should have added CV controls for the sound sculpting things (Decay, Width, Sweep, LFO & S/H). Did they miss a trick here?

Did you use the internal osc of the 960 or the osc of the gray one??? I am guessing is the gray since I can see a black cable but I am a beginner so I have doubts.

@@ranzee ok thanks. BTW. If I ever get rich$ I will create a music lable/studio. I will be contacting you for this beat/tune/song. I guess is maybe something you did like improvised or something you have not polished or finished. But I think it is a very nice melody or more than nice . In fact I have been hearing it recently since I downloaded the vid. If you do not plan to use this melody/song/tune in the future like for producing a song or an album under a record lable I will be interested in paying you for owning the copy rights or getting your permission. SERIOUSLY. I prefer to do my own stuff but I kinda like fell in love with the ratchy sequence. I had never done an album or not even published a song. I do not even have an artist name. But I have future plans of doing it. A must-do before I die. Sorry about my informality; English is not my native language and I am not familiar with the music business. I can write in Spanish but translations are not accurate.

like? - I guess for me it's not really possible as all the other "non Behringer" sequencers I own have the ratchet and clock divide features built-in. Also, I can only do a video on stuff I own. But if you know my gear - suggest away!

@@ranzee 182's specs say: Switching to series mode transforms the 182 into a 16-step sequencer. Beginners super silly question: The GP82 will act equally in both modes (8 steps or 16)??? I am wondering this because what I understand is that the GP82 works with the right side knobs row of the 182.

@@trippypages7309 The GP82 works with a single 182 module. If you want it to work with 16 steps - you would need a second 182 module. I'm friends with the manufacturer and I believe he has something in the works to extend the GP82. Essentially it uses the 2nd row as a CV controller - but you could use any 8 X CV attenuators to do this. You could even make your own quite cheaply.

@ranzee I am having a unique issue with my Roland MX-1 -- hopefully you could answer... Basically my instruments attached to the MX-1 aren't being sent to the Send and Receive channel.. The following is how its configured: Analog: Input 1+2 -- stereo enabled in settings -- Maschine Plus. Input 3 -- Mono -- Akai MPC 61 Keys Input 5 + 6 -- Stereo setup in settings -- Denon X1850 mixer (stereo), -- The x1850 mixer is going to two Denon SC5000M's. USB USB1 -- tr-8s USB2 -- MC-707 Send/Receive: -- RC505mk2 Send RCA ports to the 1/4" IN ports on an SP-404mk2 using a HOSA stereo RCA cable to stereo 1/4 -- SP404mk2 OUT 1/4" ports go to the RCA IN ports on a KORG Kaos REPLAY using a HOSA stereo RCA CABle to stereo 1/4" -- KAOS Replay RCA OUT ports go to the RC505mk2 RECEIVE RCA ports using a Gotham Amphenanol RCA stereo cable rom Worlds best cables. Setting: I have set all channels to AUX == 100

Check the settings on the mx-1 and what mode you’re in. Check mutes. Check external inputs with another source.

Finally, what I'm really looking for. Thanks! I absolutely LOVE the AN200 and mine is getting a little long in the tooth. I'm sure I'll eventually have to buy new or replace my old one and it's interesting that I'd rather spend $500 on one of these than anything currently being made.

As mentioned in the video - I used a Mixer's AUX Send/Return. It will depend if you are using the FX pedal directly from the Synth - then you would need a TRS 1/8" to L + R TR 1/4" (Y adapter).

Do you mean DC Coupled? If so, no it’s not. Look into expert sleepers modules. For interfacing with CV and Modular.
