everything great about british folk blues, a mix of curious and sensitive blues phrases underpinned with the sincere rigour and formal courtliness of english folk melody. what a cocktail. davy was the original master but seems john renbourn was hot on his tail here. as always beautifully played and recorded.

Another vote for this being about as close as you can get to the original - it's like sitting in a small bar-room listening to Blind Blake play live! You have certainly nailed the double-thumb technique which gave Blake's music its trademark drive and syncopation. And that Larson sounds absolutely gorgeous!
