It's criminal how few views this has. It's excellent and some of the most detailed descriptions of how to paint this style I have ever seen. I really love the way you cut between diagrams of what you are doing and thw actual painting of the figure. You've earned yourself a sub!

The problem is 40k models need hundreds of painted models. I suppose your could just use an airbrush and do a decent job on the mainline troops and then splurge on this technique for Characters.

Great Tutorial!

It's a genuinely gorgeous nmm tutorial for what I consider one of the hardest colours to represent. Beautiful effect explained very completely and broken down carefully and skilfully with clear instruction on light placement which is something few nmm tutorials achieve.. For a display quality single model this could well represent a way that folks could punch well above their weight on a classic space marine. That said and no criticism intended or implied I need to raise my game on painting units and this approach would just make the other 50 models look dreadful by comparison.
