Kinda mad bcs im using the same shi but its unfaced so it needs to be friction fitted into the slumlorded uneven crooked joists and its reading 130 inside.

Great video. Quick question since I’m a newbie. Do you need to lock goats in a barn at night for their protection? If so what size shelter would u need for the night time situation? Maybe something like the larger shelter you showed at 5:48 but with a secure door?
@blueresidooАй бұрын
I do not lock them in any type of structure at night. They usually sleep inside of something but they are free to come and go.
@JoshPostVlogsАй бұрын
@@blueresidooThanks for the response. Is that only because you have a guard dog? I’m just curious if I get goats and I don’t have a guard dog do I need to close them into a structure at night to protect from coyotes?

We use branches from oliva, an jobo trees to make a fence posts. Often these will sprout roots and grow to produce food for the goats. However, javilla is like candy for the goats. They love the leaves. These thorny trees need to be planted to grow. A vet recommended raspberry so I just got a few going. We'll see how the goats like them. Our soil is bad and most things were slow to grow untill I started using goat manure. I store it in an old bathtub and then put a gallon or so at the base of trees. The chickens spread it around. It makes a huge difference.

Its cute to see kids climbing on things but I avoid it all together. I don't want them learning to climb. They learn to do it and It just leads to problems.

Great advice. I'm in the Dominican Republic and we don't have access to a lot of things. We use tree branches for posts. In most cases they grow and produce food for the goats. I'm always envious of people with flat land. Its very difficult to buld a tight fence on hilly ground especially with mesh. Still, some good info here. Especially the way you did the corners. We have a saying, "one bad head ruins the herd." So, if you have one trouble maker the rest of the herd will follow. A well behaved queen keeps the others from challenging the fence.

Excellent advice. I made many mistakes. Firstly, under medicating. I didn't take worms seriously enough. Also, poor quality goats don't produce enough milk so you have to raise the kids and then you get attached to them.

what area of the country are you in? I've got land in north east Texas that is mostly hardwood forest with LOTS of underbrush and id like to get some goats for land clearing and meat. Im hoping for a relatively cheap way to get into this
@blueresidoo2 ай бұрын
I’m in Alabama, but I think T posts and polywire would be a good way to get started cheap. I would section off small pieces at a time to put the max amount of pressure on the land at one time. That way you can also rotate less fencing material, doing small areas at a time vs the entire thing. I think a lot of people don’t view T posts as “temporary” but they’re a great way to have a sturdy fence that’s able to be removed relatively easy. Best of luck!

Is spray better or roll on ????
@blueresidoo3 ай бұрын
So here’s my thoughts on it..Getting runs in this is the biggest “issue”, they’re very hard to fix. That being said the spray is easier to prevent runs-Just do lighter coats but more of them. The roll on is more likely to have runs (just have to be careful and pay attention) but it’s a more durable service and much less prone to peeling. I’ve done both and I would say for vertical surfaces use the spray on but try to really get a thick coat on the second spray coat (careful not too thick to run). If you’re working with a horizontal surface, I’d use the roll on. Roll on = thicker (more durable imo) Spray = Easier to work with. Hope this helps, good luck!

I love the idea of the A-Frame. Can you provide any more details about how to build? I'm a novice builder, I assume you would build a rectangular base but then not sure about the top. Anything special I would need to know? I can figure out the sides.
@blueresidoo3 ай бұрын
Hi! Thanks for watching. Yeah I would start out with a rectangular base, and there’s going to be a few different ways of doing the sides. Probably the easiest thing to get an idea would be to google “A frame dog house plans” and go to images, that’ll give you a good idea. In these we basically treated it like roof trusses and has a board running down the center, attached it to the base, then cut angles at the top to attach the side board to the center board. Check out that google search tho and you’ll see a number of ways!

It would be really nice if he wasnt just talking out his ass, sounding confident with absolutely no actual facts. I know that he wants to be seen as some badass fast talking guy who has all these statistics, but its funny when you actually check what hes saying. It's also kinda funny that he thinks american interventionism is going to STOP the migration, since it is a lot of what cUsed it, america not being able to keep in ts hands to itself. And to really put the cherry, he doesnt believe in climate change, or at least doesnt think we need to stop anything we're doing currently to destroy the planet because there will be time later, its not like we're past the middle mark toward our own annihilation or anything....which I bring up because when hes gonna further destroy countries and not providing humNitarian aide because, well, they shouldnt have looked for.a.better life in the US, legally even, so they need to stay thrre. And when the climate starts taking out millions in those places because the sanctions have caused places to have areas where the infrastructure isnt capable of withstanding the stronger and more common disasters. I also think its gonna be funny if he gets in power and the first major disaster hits, and no one is coming to help, theres no cheap labour that works fast to get people back in their homes or repairing towns, cos all of those people, who travel around doing that, they are too scared to go help because of the policies. People who work in disaster areas to get anericans back into their homes, to feel a sense of hope....they wont go, even though its a calling for them, becauee they cant trust that the patriotism and love for this country, the strong need to help and prove that rhey not only belong, but that they are proud to be here and belong to, even when their crew bosses or homeowners have them finish the job and never pay rhem, taking advantage of someone willing to help and work hard in a crisis....quite an american value nowadays. Also, most fentanyl comes through the ports, not in backpacks of migrants or asylum seekers. But by all means, put the lives of americans as far frkm actually helping them as you can get. Weve tried this idea of drug enforcement for DECADES.... it doesnt fucking work. You know what happens if the military goes to the border to stop all the drugs from going thru, even in this make-believe land he has created.... Less drugs get in, but people still WANT drugs, so either bad shit is created that kills a bunch of people who shoot battery acid or whatever.... but even if that happens, since Vivek thinks hes so business savvy.... what happens when there is a shortage of something that still has a high demand? The cartels still make money, even more so actually. Just like the whole wall thing & the years of deterance strategy making the places people can illegally cross the places where they are most likely ro die of exposure, dehydration, etc. And the cartels love it, cos they used to charge people to cross, having someone lead them in, but there were plenty of people who did it on their own. Since the places to do so have been greatly reduced, the cartels have people who will demand payment, shoot you and leave you if you dont want to pay, cos they have the areas covered and the thousands of dollars required to do so, with the later kidnappings of family or friends if the think you have money they can get for ransoms....but the cartels are makimg bank by being able to control the crossings, which is kinda imteresting that they dont talk about that, that the over policing has enriched the cartels, both by number of people forced to pay and amount they can demand. But hey, maybe THIS time pretty much trying to do the same thing as the past decade+ where it hasnt worked...insanity and all that seems to apply.
