Super! Ich war dann auf der falschen Seite. Muss ich das Tune anpassen? Ich habe eine jedes Jahr gewartete 2001 mit 16000 Kilometer gekauft und verfeinere sie jetzt. Ist eine Erinnerung an meine zweite Speed Triple nach der T300B. Habe meine moderne 1200RR möchte ich auch nicht missen. Ein Flop der mal gesucht wird.

Your triumph is gorgeous mate amazing to see british bikes cared fir in germany. I iwn a new gsa but i recently got bored cos i cant do repairs on bmw due to warranty. So i bought a 2005 datona 21k none runner one owner for 15 years. I fixed it and its running now i need to fit speed triple bars as i cant ride with clipons. Are you aware of the german history of triumph. Also i rode gs around germany in may

great bikes from that area, have a 2001 Speed Triple 955i from 2001, that would be the t-509 version i believe. not a single fault with it but it's too soft, cranked everything down, now rides still soft but better. Coming from a 2021 R1, and a Rocket 3 R, besides the aforementioned Speedy STREETFIGHTER! First of it's kind and fuck Ducati for stealing thatdddddd. And even I love ducati's but never own one.

I’m about to do this on mine. In the service manual it says you need to hold the throttle open. But I see you’re not doing that. Is it not necessary?

The hoses for the vacuum gauge are connected to the studs of the idle control vacuum lines. This means, that once the idle air lines are disconnected, the machine does not have an idle anymore. The solution to this is simple: Just put a thin feeler gauge under the throttle cable stop. This way, the throttle will be slightly open and the engine will run. Once you have a achieved the desired rpm (slightly higher than idle, I would recommend) with a feeler gauge of the correct thickness, you can do the synchronization.

I have a running issue with my T509 it’s over Fuelling, replaced fuel vacuum lines and throttle body butterfly positions and still bad overfuelling lumpy idle and flat spot up to 3k rpm and nowhere near me will look at it

Hi, there might be two possible causes: Bad injector or an issue with the fuel pump or the fuel lines inside the fuel tank. For the latter: Check fuel pressure at the rail. Also check the spray patterns of the injectors. Good luck!

Thank you! I had provided a complete documentation of the build to the TÜV prior to the inspection, so the TÜV inspection itself was a very friendly 10 minutes affair without any hickups.

Ja, das Wilbers-Federbein ist absolut zu empfehlen. Der Motor hat etwas andere Nockenwellen und ein anderes Kennfeld.

Brilliant! I really appreciated your thoughts and perspective on the bike. Torque and horsepower numbers only say so much, real world experience is valuable, of course, but the most important (in my opinion) is how does it *feel* to ride the bike - so thank you the most for sharing that! It was like listening to a good friend giving a knowledgeable opinion 👍 I am on the cusp of making this the next bike in my garage. If I may ask, what are your thoughts on the ride comfort based on your physical size i.e. vs my 188 cm / 86 cm inseam?

Thank you for your comments! I am 186cm/6.1foot tall and for me the ergonomics of the bike are good even for long days in the saddle. As you might have seen, I have the small OEM windscreen attached, which does not do a lot. When I need to do longer distances on the motorway, I put a clip-on spoiler on the screen, which helps a little. Having said that, the lack of wind protection can be an issue as the handlebar of the 3R spreads your arms wide and thus puts a lot of wind pressure on your shoulders.

I just removed and cleaned all my fuel injectors and my gas tank and for some reason now I can't get the bike to start. There's fuel in the rail.

Remote diagnosis is difficult, but here a a few guesses: You say you have fuel in the rail, but do you have fuel pressure (can you hear the fuel pump prime)? As you have removed the rail and the injectors, maybe you have not re-installed the idle air hoses correctly. Check with the workshop manual how they are installed correctly in the idle control unit. Hope this helps. Best of luck getting the bike running again.

Pump primes and I think it's the pressure. I hooked it up and tried to start with fule rail off and only had a little squirt from middle injector. The other two were moist but no pressure...

I got it. It's pressure. My lines that clip in the tank won't seal nice. I have a squirt from all now so I'm getting it down to the issue.

What a fantastic pair! Did you have any issues with your country's TUV certification? I'm an Englishman with a 955i Speed Triple but I know the German TUV can be a real pain! Well done on two very gorgeous machines sir! ;-)

Thank you for your compliments! You are right about the German TÜV. Everything you build, you need to build with TÜV certification in mind. This included me putting together a complete file on the build process and the components used. It is admittedly a bit of a pain. There is just no leeway, but if you keep that in mind, you stand a fair chance to pass certification. The Mk2 (the red one) passed with flying colors, though.

Habe das gleiche Modell und würde gern mehr aus den Leuchten raus holen. Z. B. Möchte ich beide zum leuchten bringen und ggf. auf LED Beleuchtung umbauen. Danke vorab.

Zunächst danke für das Lob! Die Schaltung für beide Scheinwerfer ist im Kabelbaum bereits vorgesehen - schau einmal in den Schaltplan. Bei mir leuchten H4-Klarglasscheinwerfer vom TM Acceessories.

Du meinst vermutlich den Schlauch am Druckregler? Den habe ich auch nicht angeschlossen. Die Benzinpumpe höre ich zwar vor dem Starten, nicht aber beim Fahren.

@@thomasgessner also ich hab heute mal denn tank angebaut und von der airbox ist einschlauch (schwarz mit klammer) einfach runtergehangen war nirgensdrauf beim fahren hab ich nix gemerkt und als ich denn schlauch angefasst habe merkte ich das im schlauch ein stopsel drinnen war der aber nicht vom hersteller ist denn hat irgendwer rein

Hallo ich habe einen Kurzschluss an meiner T509 gehabt und zwar sind die Kabel vom Nockenwellensensor angeschmort gewesen und haben so einen Kurzschluss verursacht jetzt habe ich mehrere Fehler ausgelesen P0123 Drosselklappensensor Signal zu hoch Kurzschluss nach Plus seit dem nimmt das Motorrad auch kein Gas mehr an hast du sowas schon mal gehabt ? Gruß

Bestenfalls musst Du nur den TPS neu kalibrieren, schlimmstenfalls ersetzen, ist aber kein großes Ding.
