Great deck tech! BTW Herald's Horn doesn't discount Ulalek. Ulalek is specifically hybrid colorless/color. Horn only discounts generic mana.

I just build a Gargos deck with a bunch of pretty strong (and sadly very expensive) cards like ozolith and khalini hydra, and I can't wait to play it 😁. I really like the theme of hydras, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of viable commanders, and Gargos seems too good to not include for a green mono hydra deck. Playing anything else besides this commander seems really hard to pull off without even more ramp or some way to cheat hydras into play. Anyway, thank you for the video, it's always interesting to see other people build their decks with the same theme/idea in mind.

Assessing the card based on its floor, playing Traverse the Outlands is nearly too close to call in the comparison of floors, but its ceiling is going to be far higher in many decks. This card does have potential in a 2-cost Mono Green, Simic or Selesnya Commander’s deck, though.

im thinking of buying this list and have a few cards I want to add so I have a couple of questions. what would you cut for a branching evolution and vorinclex monstrous raider? also do you think because the deck is more creature based it would be optimal to run cards like llanowar elves, elvish mystic, fyndhorn elves over some of the cards like cultivate, farseek etc?

Forth Eorlingas! may not be the most efficient card in the deck, but I always love adding a Monarch card into a deck. It's a fun mechanic to introduce to a game even if you CAN'T defend it. But you can definitely defend it or recapture reliably here

We Ride at Dawn is very sneaky in this deck. I don't think most opponents will notice it until you cast your commander for free that first time

So ironically I am JUST about to start building Karlov (I built Brimaz but it honestly ended up being kinda boring so I think I’m gonna swap it), but I’m genuinely curious if Karlov or Sorin would be better as the commander and if so what differences would be in the deck? I feel like 90% of what’s shown here could easily be in the 99 or Karlov too, but I’m struggling to figure out a list :(

Just found your channel, xenagos is my pet deck and I have played it for years. I have some extra combats, I don’t play the infinite ones or Kiki but I do lean more heavy on double powers… as well as trying to only play creatures with trample or flying.

Isnt this card mono green? Is it legal to have it as commander and put black cards in?

Great video! I started playing Ellivere and a big issue I have is that I become too strong too fast and often get targetted/boardwiped and can't rebuild afterward. What is your strategy about this kind of situation?

When token copies are exiled (chittering dispatcher or mirror march), Azlask won't trigger, right? From what I understand, them getting exiled doesn't count as "dying", and dying only happens if they get destroyed by spells or damage, or sacrificed.

I find it hysterical that it's an abzan deck with exactly 2 white cards in it. I already had a budget decklist made for this commander, but I'll definitely be revisiting it to add some of these cards to it! Love the video!

Here are a few cards I'm running in mine: Echoes of Eternity (2-3 euros) - 3 colorless mana, 3 mana of any type. Enchantment. This will double the triggers of any colorless spells you have in play and it will copy any colorless spells that you cast, that includes spells with the Devoid tag and artifacts you play. I think this is probably the best card in the deck. Angelic Aberration (pennies) - 1 white, 5 mana of any type. 4/4 eldrazi angel creature with Flying and Vigilance. Devoid. ETB: Sacrifice any number of creatures with base toughness 1 or less (scions, spawns and plant tokens), make them into 4/4 Eldrazi Angel tokens with Flying and Vigilance. This is another win condition in itself. (This card is in the precon if you already have that) Morophon, the Boundless (5-8 euros) - 7 mana of any type. 6/6 shapeshifter creature. You choose a creature type, Eldrazi. All your eldrazi creatures get +1/1 (including Morophon). Eldrazi spells will also cost 1 less white/blue/black/red/green mana to cast, this only applies to colored mana you pay. If Morophon is on the field, you can play Ulalek for free as he costs 1 of each colored mana. Also a lot of our creatures cost 1-2 colored mana, so this helps to mitigate that. (This card is in the precon if you already have that) Herald of Kozilek (pennies) - 1 blue, 1 red, 1 mana of any type. 2/4 eldrazi drone creature. Devoid. Colorless spells you cast cost 1 colorless mana less to cast. Urza's Incubator (5 euros) - 3 mana of any type, artifact, reduce the cost of all Eldrazi creture spells by 2 colorless mana. Maskwood Nexus (2-3 euros) - 4 mana of any type, makes all your creatures have the Scion/Spawn tag for Azlask's ability which now gives all your creatures indestructible and annihilator 1. You can tap it and pay 3 mana of any type to create a 2/2 shapeshifter token, which is also an Eldrazi, Scion and Spawn due to the shapeshifter tag. Eldrazi Confluence (2-3 euros) - 2 colorless mana, 2 mana of any type. Instant. It's a choose three, and you can pick the same option more than once. 1) Target creature gives +3/-3 until end of turn. 2) Exile target nonland permanent, then return it to the battlefield tapped under it's owner's control. 3) Create a 1/1 colorless Eldrazi Scion. It's a removal spell, it can blink your own creatures to trigger their ETB ability or it can simply make you 3 scion tokens. It outclasses "Call the Scions" by a long shot. (This card is in the precon if you already have that) Victimize (pennies) - 1 black mana, 2 mana of any type. Sorcery. Choose 2 creatures in your graveyard, sacrifice 1 creature, if you do, bring the 2 creatures back to the battlefield tapped. Sac a spawn, bring back Drowner of Hope + Angelic Aberration as an example. You create 3-5 4/4 eldrazi angels + a 5/5 eldrazi. Or bring 2 of your ETB token creators to get 4-8 eldrazi spawns/scions. Urza's Cave (2-3 euros) + Urza's Powerplant, Mine and Tower (2-3 euros in total). Lands. Urza's cave taps for 1 colorless, or you can tap it and pay 3 mana of any type to search your library for any land card and put it into play tapped. We're already running Sowing Mycospawn + Sylvan Scrying which can search out non basic land cards too. So it should be relatively easy to get all 3 Urza's lands into play, which tap for 7 colorless mana in total when all 3 are on the battlefield.

It's been testing out amazing in my Annie flash storm deck

I have a question. So I bought the modern horizons presale in mtg arena. It was available to me till the 11. There was a 2 mana white Sorin that read "creature spells cost 1 less to cast." I believe it's a Planeswalker too. Two cards one was white mana. One was black. They advertise it like that but no one is talking about the white one like it's not standard play. Like I'm not crazy right. It was more op than this one.
