I’ve always felt like I’d rather do the hike to base camp and spend a week up there. I don’t need to deal with the crowds and try to get to the top and back alive. No thanks.

It is so beautiful up there. Either Everest base camp or Annapurna treks are a must in your life. Do it whilst you are young and fit, it really is special.

i can totally understand the guide decision to stop summitting Everest. Even during my trip to Mardi Himal High Camp, i saw a lot of burial and memorial built to remember those who died during the hike. It made us realized how small we are and how lucky as well
