Peter Green is a huge name in blues and a massive influence! Unfortunately, we could only choose 30 guitarists, so some icons were left out. Thanks for the comment!

This is the classic lineup of Charles Lloyd's quartet with Jack DeJohnette on drums, Keith Jarrett on piano and Cecil McBee on bass. The year is 1966 and the song is "East Of The Sun".

Michael Bloomfield and Duane Allman are legends! I'd love to include them, but with only 30 spots, some great names had to be left out. Thanks for the comment!

Johnny Winter. Bonamassa is a joke, isn´t?

Johnny Winter is a guitar beast! And Joe Bonamassa might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he has his place in modern blues. Thanks for the comment!

Derek Trucks is an amazing guitarist! He brings a unique style to the blues with his slide guitar skills. Unfortunately, with only 30 spots on the list, some fantastic players like him couldn't make it. Thanks for the suggestion!

The idea behind this list is not the "best rock riffs" but "the most famous rock riffs". Fire is a fantastic song, but I don't know if I could put it here. Which would you put in its place on this list?

Popa Chubby certainly brings a modern flair to the blues scene with his powerful guitar playing and energetic performances.

King Crimson always ahead of Genesis, which I also love, but I must admit it is somewhat a lighter stuff. Van der Graaf Generator also on the top, together with King Crimson. Yes lower, because, as ELP, this band has some really dull, repetitive albums. Kansas and Rush out and Le Orme and Premiata Forneria Marconi in, and I hesitate between Focus and Il Banco del Mutuo Soccorso.

What about Chuck Berry. His phrasing with double stops had big influence on many blues guitar players.
@BackingTrackCenterКүн бұрын
You’re right, Chuck Berry had a huge influence on blues and rock with his characteristic use of double stops. He definitely deserves recognition, but it’s worth noting that his influence on rock was even more significant. Songs like "Johnny B. Goode" and "Roll Over Beethoven" shaped the sound of rock 'n' roll and inspired generations of rock guitarists. Thanks for commenting!

És de veres que, si a soles se'n presenten 30, molts se'n queden fora: Lee, Green, Taylor, Buchanan, Bloomfield, Rogers... Però la llista està molt bé. Salutacions des de València (Espanya).
@BackingTrackCenterКүн бұрын
Exactament!

I’m a guitar player, like the blues don’t love it, unless it’s played a certain way, seen a lot of guitar players over the years, I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan at the El Macombo in Toronto in the 80s, you know the videos are all over KZfaq from the Elmo, nobody could ever touch that guy nobody ever will, force of nature doesn’t even cover it

That's awesome that you saw Stevie Ray Vaughan live! He truly was a phenomenon, and it's hard to find anyone who plays like him. The El Mocambo recordings are iconic and really showcase his skill and passion for the blues. Thanks for sharing that experience!
