Awe man I just saw this today. I'm just starting out doing murals. I've done two only. And I'm looking for my third. I've been an artist for around 35 years and just recently I started painting and doing murals. It has been my dream to become a professional artist since I was a young boy. I wish I had seen this earlier.

As a non-Native, with an Anishinnabe Ojibwe grandson of 11 years of age who became the impetus for me to learn about his indigenous culture, FORECAST/Public Art serves as an in-road to his artistic imagination/creativity. Listening to these four artists featured in this interview, I can, encourage him to explore his Native artistic expression, as something he hasn't explored, as something he could give his life toward becoming. From my perspectives as an outsider, a non_Native, "Missy Whiteman loosely defines Native artists, being as "... messengers between the living world, the spiritual world, and The Creator; and that whatever we create is that message from our ancestors, spirit world, the Creator, for The People; " A beautiful definitive sentiment.
