People dont realize what most hard rock and metal were recorded with these line of amps and toured them it wasnt the JCM800 this 1979-1980 amps were heavily used for recorded and touring

Correct me if im understanding this wrong: the signal goes through all four of these amps, each one of them with "just before the point of breakup" gain levels, so that the gain kind of "adds up" at each amp to make for a tight tone without sounding saturated when it plays out of the cab?

I play straight into the amp at the top of the pile. Just one amp that’s been rebuilt with a Hermansson circuit to get this tight distortion.
