I had the x formula, and I found them to be a more traditional hard feel. Where as I enjoy the dragon 🐉 wheels, so good for everything

I really enjoy the X Formulas as my main wheel in California, and I swap them for the Dragons when I travel. 🛹

Have you become a more " technical" skater as you got older? I try to stay away from big drops and only do small gaps since I started skating again.

I went to check these out and at first try on they felt very close to Emerica Dicksons, and I got pretty interested, but then I noticed the very bottom soles aren’t rubber, they are like a hard plastic. Were these ones you tested with a harder plastic bottom sole or softer rubber like traditional skate shoes? I’m wondering if the harder plastic bottoms is what makes the lower cost possible. I notice other cheap wal mart or target shoes usually have this same type of hard bottom sole. Hmm
@2FTSK87 күн бұрын
It's rubber sole on this one ... They used to have weird cardboard look bottom soles ... They still do on some of their shoes but not this one ...

Spitfire 93 radial 54mm is the best wheel now. Was an x99 guy but the 93 is the best for every surface including indoor parks that are way to slippery. They slide constantly on everything

I subbed because you told the truth about mini logo trucks. Which no one was talking about. I ended up on venture highs on an April 8.25 but I appreciate the help greatly

im still on minilogo trucks .... i did skate venture low for a while .... but tre was easier on minilogo because of the short wheel base.... i do love venture a lot because landing gets a lot easier with venture...

Ted out of anyone i've ever met in the skateboarding community is the best at teaching and breaking down tricks in a way that makes sense and is manageable. He is also extremely detail oriented in his explanations and not to mention has the patience of a saint leaning on a monument. And when i'm doing something wrong and he gives me a critique, it's in the nicest most polite respectful way possible. Which is unreal and I greatly appreciate. He is a phenomenal teacher, He taught me how to varial flip and i got them down cleanish within in like 2 weeks. I highly recommend his skating tutorials. Ted is a certified ripper!!! This guy should be a paid skateboarding instructor with the amount and wealth of knowledge and skateboarding experience he possesses

@2FTSK816 күн бұрын
This decks I had while I was on double flip kick had this curving up nose... meaning nose is not flat it looks slightly bent.... that might have been why I was able to double flip easier.... other than that I like my set now .... Canadian maple blank 8.0 n minilogo trucks and ricta 101a

This was the era when I was in my prime.. I miss the late 90s and early 2000s. No cell phone yet still had the homies hit me up or come to my house and we’d film with little canon camcorders. Wish I still had a lot of the footage from 15 years ago. Not skate video worthy per se but it’s cool to look back on the progress I made plus I did land some cool stuff. Double flips, finger flips, tre flips, nollie flips, hospital flips, the list goes on. I’d practice for hours everyday after school. It was certainly a nice escape from the drama back home, and now that I’m a certified instructor, that is what I tell my clients all the time. Perfect practice makes perfect and keep getting up and trying if you love it, keep trying.
