Thanks for the information! I’m saving to open a shop next year. Hoping to have the grand opening on go skateboarding day 2025. There are no skate shops in my city which has a population just over 100,000 people with adjoining cities makes about a quarter million in my area. The closest shop is across the river in another state although it’s only about a ten minute drive away. I’ve been to that shop and could do it better than he does. He doesn’t have a website, only a fb page. He doesn’t have shop boards or clothing, no snacks or drinks to name a few. I like the adding coffee idea especially in my area because we have cold winters which could boost sales in the colder months

This was a super helpful video. The local skate shop that closed by me I think just had problems with making the rent. They had everything Ted talked about. A following on social media. Great inventory. Lots of young and old people around that could skate or would buy the goods. I think ultimately it was just the rent that did them in.

Nice, in Serbia we have only one skate shop for 5 million people, I might open another one with your help. Btw, I'm looking forward to your review of powell Peralta nano cubic wheels designed by Andy Anderson based on Dragon formula 97A, it will surely be hot topic and great for slappy tricks

How would you go about connecting with manufacturers like skate1 and nhs?
@2FTSK82 ай бұрын
Each company has application page on their website .... nhs just want you to have a shop ... skate1 would ask things like sales amount in there application.... deluxe is almost impossible to get an account.... and dwindle is right now very chaotic because of the new ownership...

How do you go about paying back a bank loan as well as a lease loan every month? Seems like a lot of money.
@2FTSK815 күн бұрын
Try not to get a loan to start your business .... try to save money to start the business .... not many banks will give you a loan for skateboard business anyways

I live in a small town of about 50000 people and our skate comunity is really small we have like 5 times more scooter riders so if wanted to open a skateshop in my town i would need to stock more scooter parts than skate parts for it to stay aflout without a eshop xd
