No regrets! This is really cool and I think the color palette you chose really makes this piece work so well☮️ Groovy! I actually was/am a flower child/hippie😊 I miss saying “far out” - ya dig? I’m hip to this art style. It’s cherry! 😁😁😁 Every single time, Irene-you make me want to run to my studio and create! Your childhood memories are wonderfully similar to my own…but I actually DO miss the days of phone books, black and white Zeniths on rolling carts and Swanson Hungry Man TV dinners. Carnations were definitely in the grocery stores-and also sold on street corners! -I’d forgotten that until just now. I bet they were every mom’s favorite because they were really the only choice😅 Although we did have our fair share of Carnation Instant Breakfast to accompany our Tang and Space Food Sticks, we were never lucky enough to have homemade curry. A popular snack growing up was Premium Saltines Crackers with butter and grape jelly. Makes me think of watching Mr. Rogers and Mickey Mouse Club, and I still crave that snack from time to time! Flowers not glowers, man. Dig it.

Oh Irene, you are such a scream! I’m Scottish and we specialise in creepy crawlies, along with all terms relating to them. Yep, just shuddered whilst lying down in bed - impressed? I was. Anyway, I digress, and yes, I do that a lot, ask Ann over at The Creek, you know who I mean, oh sender of happy mail. 🥰 I digress once more, apologies. I wanted to immediately jump into telling you that I loved your drawing. It’s imaginative and wonderfully unique. Derwent is obviously very readily available for me, but I don’t let a thing like geography get in the way of art products. No, I genuinely think their products are excellent, in particular their pencils. There is a huge Derwent pencil museum on the River Derwent in the north of England. You can also see Derwent make the pencils! Yup, I have a crush, and have only just realised. 😳 Before I leave, I think you may be interested to know that until you brought my attention to “Strathmore”, I hadn’t noticed a thing wrong, as I was busy chatting away to myself on just where on earth could I learn to write so beautifully. Occasionally, with your more flighty viewer, honesty really doesn’t pay. I love your dialogue and you always make me laugh, or on down days, at least lift the corners of my mouth. What? I’m Scottish! We brood about stuff. Albeit, usually the English. 😂🖌️👩🏻🎨

@@INCWorks Great choice Irene, but please do not leave "the whole of Scotland" off your list. Over 8 million people live in London alone. Scotland 's population, including the islands is a mere 6 million, actually, a tad less!! We only eat English 😁😇😂. All other nationalities are welcomed, then fleeced of their cash on dumb stuff we will impress upon you, that you simply can't live without said [insert name of item]. Kidding aside, I love my country (Scotland, not the UK). I say that despite being half English on my Mother's side. You can pick your friends...😇

Just a wonderful video, Irene 👌. Good to see you using the Derwent. They are wonderful and I too enjoy the muted colors. I like them SO much that I ordered the new 150 set of their Chromoflow pencils because they have tons of beautiful muted colors 👍. I plan to incorporate them with my Drawing pencil roll. Never knew about the Rembrandt paper. I didn’t notice your boo boo until you said something. I’m so anal I would have to write out Rembrandt on another piece of paper/cut and splice and dice 🤣. Gotta have it “perfect”. Anyway, I ordered the paper in the blue and green because those are more my colors. By the way, your colored pencil painting is truly amazing 🤩 and inspirational 🎉

dang those pencils look so smooth and pigmented 🤯 I feel like dubbing in different languages has gotten a lot better over the years. generally I'm in the same boat, watching in the original language with English subtitles, but I'm finding that more and more projects are getting really good English dubs. that, and my sister is literally a voice actor. 😉

I am grateful that we call him by Rembrandt because I am thinking most trying to say Van Rijn would have too many saying Van Ridge in. I figured you were going full in on the sanguine theme with the paper, pencil and word definition: optimistic or positive, especially in an apparently bad or difficult situation. Oh wow, I will have to try that BBQ sauce. I've never seen it! Now I have Blue Oyster Cult's song Gozilla going through my head. OH NO There goes Tokyo, Go Go Godzilla!! I actually prefer subtitles, but it can be tough when you are tired. Did you put on a bad tiki? Did you have flashbacks to Peter Brady with the tarantula on his chest? You get a pass on the Strathmore snafu, the spider trauma overwhelmed you. I actually don't mind spiders. they eat things I hate more, like mosquitos and flies. But that's just me. I love the Derwent Drawing set. Very buttery and smooth. Beautiful drawing.

How long will this 5ml tube last?
@INCWorks18 күн бұрын
If you are a gouache painter, I recommend sets that have full 15m tubes. These smaller 5m tubes worked for me at the time because I wasn't sure if this medium was for me. So, it was a good way to try gouache without fully committing. I'm not a prolific painter and still have some of this paint left even two years later. But that's probably due to the fact that I split my work over several different mediums plus a couple of other large Holbein gouache sets. Someone who paints with gouache more often would likely used this 5m set up quickly.
