Cal gonna get his flowers. Not for the immediate future tho. The fanbase isn't pissed he left, their beef is the way he handled the program for the past 5 years......

It’s WAY WAY out of line…..the $2 million deal. I’ll be completely upfront and honest. As the fan of a traditional, perennial national power, Kansas, I worry whether Kansas will be able to continue to compete financially. We would appear to be in good shape right now. But for how long? NIL is NOT supposed to be pay-for-play just as Coach K, Matt Painter, Nick Saban, and Urban Meyer have said. NIL was just to allow college players to be paid for the use of their name, image, and likeness…..so they could negotiate THEIR OWN deals to do commercials and things like that. I have no problem with that. But how many schools will be able to afford pay-for-play like this?

You sad and depressed UK fans still consumed with Cal after running him off are hilarious. Why are we stoked? The all-freshman BS is clearly over. He’s rejuvenated. He’ll curbstomp Pope and suddenly middling UK in Rupp. Can’t wait. WPS!!!

The way the slot machine guy ran and immediately played, it was like he had money in there already and had to leave for a call or something and was hustling back so no one played his money.

All of these EXACT podcasts were bashing “Cal’s” inability to coach in game over the past few years. Now all of sudden he leaves UK and is an X and O genius who will win a title in his first season at Arky. The propaganda for clicks is astounding

I am hoping he has his Arkansas team just as unprepared as many of his other “game plans” that he slugged together over the past 5 seasons…

I hate to say it but , cal is irrelevant in the mind of many Cat fans. Fans will,likely have little or not reaction. He actually set the program back with his tenure in the bluegrass. Many of us feel that way. Good bye and good luck We are very excited to start a new chapter with a new coach and strategy for the future

Not sure how it’s possible to do both, I am a high school football and basketball coach and try to put out KZfaq content fairly frequently, that’s time consuming enough. Can’t imagine being a head college basketball coach and having a daily radio show and having enough time to be successful at both
@benoitwaffle543915 сағат бұрын
My immediate thought was this guy either has no clue what he is signing up for, or radio money is better than Horizon League money. Certainly, he doesn't grasp Horizon League travel norms with long bus trips and non-chartered flights. Add to that, he probably has to be able to keep up with the NBA and NFL well enough to discuss those leagues well enough to keep a radio audience that will probably lose interest rather quickly in hearing him moan about the refs in Fort Wayne. It is startling that he think he can, much less would want to, have a radio show the day after a 7PM game in Illinois or Indiana followed by a 4-8 hour bus trip back to Green Bay, WI.

The UK fan comments on Cal's recruiting has mostly been sour grapes and throwing him under the bus after he brought them a natty and gave back very benevolently to his community. Rednecks.

Given the way they start the noisy videos in Rupp the instant the opposing coach’s name is spoken, the crowd’s reaction won’t be all that impactful.
@TYoung212 күн бұрын
I don’t think booing at a game is fans having hate towards Cal. Fans are obviously going to cheer for their team and boo the opposing team that comes in lol I have been to plenty of games in Rupp and it will be 100% boos no doubt about it no matter what team it is lol

Agree UT bro just like boxing and other combat sports the lead up, mind games and pschy are 1 of the most significant, if not the most important factors or edge over the opp goin into the fight, the same can be said for college basketball. Never do what they predict u to do because this leads to doubt and lack of confidence...2nd guessing preparation and strategy

@@mr.nobody9697 Ya and that's only college ball. In FIBA world cup ball (better than college but not nearly as good as NBA) Edey averaged only 2.4 Points/game and got pulled early averaging only 2.9 mins/game. To get an idea of the quality of players in those FIBA games - team USA's top players were Anthony Edwards, Mikal Bridges, Tyres Haliburton and Jalen Brunson. Team Canada didn't even bring their best (Andrew Wiggins) either but did have RJ Barret and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
