Thank you so much for such a thorough and articulate review! I was scouring the internet for an informative and interesting curriculum and luckily landed on your page. Will try these with my 4.5 and 6.5 year old this summer/autumn.

Would you ever consider doing videos for curriculum recommendations for highschool homeschoolers? There are so many options it is hard to choose. I have been trying to find something that covers history and geography together. Any suggestions?

I've just recently discovered your channel and I GREATLY appreciate the way you bring these curriculum to our living rooms. THANK YOU! I also used TGATB for many years. We are Christian missionaries overseas and it was a very convenient way to teach my kiddos English while they went to national school. HOWEVER, after reading Micah Wilder's testimony in PASSPORT TO HEAVEN and his mom's testimony in her book, UNVEILING GRACE, I decided I needed to get rid of it. It is definitley is NOT another denomination. It is a dangerous deception.

I'm not Mormon but have a lot of respect for LDS values and homeschoolers in particular. I've slowly been becoming more secular in my world view, but appreciate the generic theistic comments on their math curriculum especially.

Thank you for this resource. I was close to getting this curriculum for my daughter. It looks great. I would have noticed the same issues over time. I would not want something with the LDS heritage. SO, you saved me a bunch of time. Thanks!

Can this curriculum be done in a 4 day schedule? Grade 1.

Wow, thats sad--but that sound when it fell was amusing enough to be a meme. I would have thought such a specialty object at least had value for parts. Of course, if the salvage isn't enough to get a company to even pick it up for free (let alone pay something for it), then i guess a lot of pianos would end this way.

We are doing our 1st Gather Round unit (North American Forest Animals). My 10 year old has a learning disability that makes reading and writing a challenge and she avoids it at all cost. For some reason she really connected with the Wolf lesson. She is devouring books about wolves and asked me if she can please use my computer to write a paper about wolves. We went to hobby lobby so she could spend her allowance on supplies to make a wolf mask. She’s spouting wolf facts left and right. Everything in this video is so true.

I have loved this curriculum for Language Arts for the 2nd/3rd grade level, but I have continually felt convicted about it not pointing to Jesus and the gospel at all, but just being a very morally "good" curriculum. I am happy it is not just me.

You seem like a horrible person. This is why I’m looking at leaving Christianity So many self righteous people who have no tolerance for others beliefs even within their own denominations.

We love AAR but now I feel it’s moving too slow for my son. I believe he is gifted but I haven’t gotten him tested just yet. He will be 5 in a few weeks. We are in level 2 but I feel it’s too slow. Any suggestions? I still want him to get thorough instruction but maybe we don’t need to go this slow.

thank you for making this video!! my 4th grader is struggling with IEW structure & style. WE got to week 12 and he's literally crying over doing HW and spacing out. He lost interest and is sick of summarizing stories week after week. He loves to draw and write and I am looking for a new program and this has been so helpful! I printed tons of samples from the company websites and we will be trying out different samples. I think my son really needs variety than doing the same thing every week.

I feel this so much! This makes me feel so much. My kids are the same exact way! And our homeschool area is a wreck. I have 7 kids and people seem to think that because I have so many children I must have some sort of magical approach and my kids should be extremely well behaved at all moments of every day and then when they see my children being children they act all shocked like I should seriously get it together or something haha! My kids get into stuff bad... 🙃
