THE MUSIC WHEN HORROR MOVIES START THEIR HORRIBLE SCENES 😂😂😂😂😂

Ghana Airways had one flying to London, and that clean-wing look was fabulous. Loud taking off! AEROFLOT countered with the IL-62, tastefully decorated in shades of gray, each toilet featuring a single cotton towel on a roller. Back in the US . . . back in the US . . . back in the USSR!

Definitely another era . The BOAC / Cunard livery at the time was stunning . The hierarchy within the cockpit is unquestioning and palpable . Yes Sir , no sir as you wish sir . Not necessarily a good working atmosphere by today's standards .

Flew on the BA061/LHR/NBO/DAR/SEZ in April 1976. 22:30 departure from LHR. Great flight, superb service and meals. The VC-10 was a magnificent aircraft and equally powerful! The pride of British engineering.🇬🇧

Never flew on one but, I remember watching them fly over the fields we played in as kids. Always a thrill. The best looking aircraft ever, especially in BOAC livery.

Beautiful aircraft. I remember seeing ex-BA airframes fly into RAF Abingdon to be either scrapped or repurposed.

How I remembered it was…I flew numerous times as a child back in the 60’s as a very excited 5 year old, going back and forth between Cyprus and UK….I did fly on RAF versions, seating was facing backwards I recall….brilliant plane..brilliant decade….

In 1969 I was in the Army & was posted to Malaya. Flew from RAF Brize Norton to Singapore via Bahrain & Gan in an RAF VC10. What a beautiful aircraft. There was no economy or business class, just seats with loads of leg room. Flew that route 4 times & enjoyed every minute. Thanks for the video, brought back many happy memories,

The last time I flew a VC10 was from the Seychelles to Kai tak via Colombo. I was on a VC 10 in Rome when the Pan Am and Lufthansa planes were being held by the PLO. Very sad day.

I flew from Bombay to London Hethrow in 1970 on a BOAC VC10, and then from London to Newyork on a Boeing 707. It was a clear day, and I could see ships sailing in the Atlantic.

1974 - London to Teheran and on many other occasions back and forth as a very young boy between the UK and Iran. I remember being on the flight deck watching thunder storms in the distance, I remember about to land and then on a go-around because they’re was an aircraft on the runway at Mehrabad Airport (as was) and I remember the excitement of flying on as jetliner……what an airplane, what memories and how lucky was I 👍

I flew in a VC10 in 1965, from Salisbury (Harare) to London via Nairobi and Ilha de Sol. The configuration of the cabin was opposite to the one in this video - 2 seats on the left (port) side, and 3 on the right (starboard) side.

I remember like it was yesterday when we returned from Jamaica to JFK and pulled into the gate next to one occupied by a BOAC VC-10. It was 1973 and I had long since been bitten by the aviation bug. While the DC-8 Super 63 was cool for being ridiculously long, the VC-10 looked as if it were sculpted from cream cheese. Lithe, athletic, and sexy as hell - to my eyes the best looking bird ever to come from the UK.

I use to see these flying into RAF Brize Norton to the west of Oxford.I don't think that i have ever been on one and my flights from Europe to Johannesburg were on 747's with SAA and BA and a lone Lux Air 707.

As it kid l was very fortunate that my dad worked for BOAC which joined BEA which became BA. My dad"s first posting (as he always worked on the overseas pool for 40 years as a aircraft engineer then station maintenance manager) was Khartoum, Sudan. At age 10, l was flying by myself on VC10s, 707's, 747s to boarding school in England and back to where ever my dad and mom were posted, as l say very, very fortunate as a kid a great education which has stood me in good stead throughout my life. Anyone out there remember the Jounior Jet Club log books? BLUE LOG BOOK WITH THE BOAC GOLD SPEED BIRD EMBLEM? and l am not bragging but l have several of them signed off on all the miles in the sky from 10 years old to 16 years.....let me know.....cheers Steve
