Honda cub is far from bomb proof! The engine is good but the rest is total junk. I like hondas but the hornet us a horrible bike too. You want a chlt honda you should mention the 6 cylinder bikes. The VFR 750 is one of my personal favourites.

@@barebonesmc I said “hard fought” not “best.” The feeder classes are always more competitive because everyone is fighting to impress the factories and score a ride in the big boy class. It was a rare weekend that the 750s had even 3 guys on the same second at the end of the race, but the 600s had 5 or 6 guys right there every Sunday, and usually you could throw a blanket over the top 3. Don’t get me wrong; I miss the days of the 750 Superbikes. I LOVE the homologation specials and if I ever win the lotto, I will have an RC30, OWO1, Muzzy ZX7RR, FBF 851/888, and I might even lower myself to owning a Suzuki. That absolutely was the best era of Superbike racing, period.

Started with a old lambretta 150 then a new 125. No helmet only long hair and WATERPROOF PVC hat and A MARY QUANT JACKET for weather protection. All weather commuting. What joy ! Progressed to an old Honda Cub 50 then to my first open face helmet and Cz 175! Piece of crap in preference to a more expensive Honda. Following a messy divorce reduced to buying a new on (HP)SUSUKI 50cc for transport of my son and i to travel on Because we only had £10 a week to live on and he was still at school. Next was onto a Kawasaki z200 for long distance commutes before retiring it in preference for a Honda Silverwing also on finance with enough cash left over to fill the tank instead of paying rail fares. The next bike was a HONDA GOLD WING 1100 which was a treat after my son had grown and flown. Purpose was to join a club and in doing so met my future partner. However, i sold it to pay for a 4 month ski holiday in AUSTRIA. Upon my return i decided to buy what became my last bike a HONDA VF 750 Magna custom which was my favourite and i promised my partner NOT to ride if she died of Cancer. Our two young sons took priority and now they have grown and flown. I regret selling it and would love to have the 1100cc version to play about on when we have sunny day's. OH well 😢 the electric mobility scooter beckons but i am resisting as i would probably fall off 😱Thanks for your memories of the good times. 😄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Interesting list and channel, I respond as a Dutchman, the bargains here and where Dutch motorcyclists often try out their motorcycles, the north of Luxembourg and the German Eifel, beautiful hilly areas with many winding roads. There are several cheap '90s motorcycles that outperform the ZX9R B-type and are not listed (just my opinion), the Fireblade '98-'99, VFR 750 and Thundercat (agility/usable power), Thunderace (comfort and agility of the ZX9R but much more powerful below 8000 rpm) I agree with the placement of the Bandit 1200 but with improved suspension. I would replace the XJR 1200 with the Blackbird or the ZZR 1100, the XJR 1200 was disappointing in terms of power and suspension, the XJR 1300 is a lot better but not a bargain.

Hi my friend, i get your point and it does vary country to country for many reasons. even the cheaper Blades are going up in price here now, the T/Cat and T/Ace are both very underrated bikes and they will find their place at some point, the ZZR11 is featured here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rKiSlqySp6fKYJc.html as is the Blackbird. i think the price of the XJR is lower here because so many were sold and they do last well. but it is all personal taste to a certain extent. The ZX9B just had a nice balance for me. the VFR comes up in different places too, hope you will have a look around, and you are most welcome if you want to join us. As an older rider now (50+) who’s always preferred handling over speed light weight is a priority as well. 2018 KTM 690 Duke is my bike of choice now. People ask why such a small bike for a larger rider. I tell them “It’s light, fun and fast enough! 370lbs wet the bike only weighs 70lbs more than me and still has more than enough power and speed for the streets!
