Hiya Steve...it was great to meet again and have a chin wag and catch up, it's been too long so we must meet again before too long...as you know I've visited Hartside Summit many many times over the years but wasn't aware of the latest developments regarding a 're-development'....BTW the Silver car in the field at around the 5 minute point of the film has been there for months and months ..having lived (until recently) at the bottom of the hill I have seen it many times, I'm surprised it hasn't been shifted by now ...any way once again we will catch up again soon mate ...oh BTW my new bike is a Honda NX500 as I no longer own a Kawasaki Versys 650 ...ta ra for now !

This is the Husqvarna FE350, I’m pretty sure it weighs a whopping 108kgs. 😂

Yes momentum, I acknowledge that in the video. I got up easily the first time but the second attempt I lost a bit of focus and stuffed it up. It’s all part of having a good day out and of course learning from your mistakes. 👍😂

Thanks for the video! How do you like the Garmin nav? I hated my in RT... I think it was the nav3. Compared to TomTom Rider was really bad in finding the right ways and showing traffic jams... Garmin once told me to turn onto a road where it wasn't allowed; it was a one-way street.

Watching from my tent, again. Had to go back home after only a day and a half as my tablet had water issues then didnt have the memory or Ram or speed or something to push the osmand gps app - home bought a more powerfull 3 and left again this morning. Great day great tracks great campsite also 6 euros a night!! If all goes to plan ill be watching your next ride from tent again next friday 👍

That’s a shame, you said in your email it had been a bit wet and the tablet wasn’t charging. Six Euro’s is unbelievably good value for money, some of the campsites here even out of season are £20! Enjoy the rest of your adventures and we’ll catch up when you get back. 👍

10/10 for effort there Steve, on all accounts, the grueling motorway hike and the queuing... Oh god the queuing! 😭 I think I'd have ridden through the car park and straight back out the exit while muttering expletives under my breath. That with the kitchen staff, is pretty rude on their behalf, they could have helped you out there for sure just chose not to... You handled that well, think I might have flipped the kitchen on its back being the angry kid I am 😬 I had a slight suspicion Lisa was never actually running the shop... All for the show I guess, paying kids to run it instead 😂.

I nearly didn’t bother queuing but I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt and stick it out to see what the shop had on offer and what the food was like. The shop was poor and the staff in the food side of the business were jobsworths. I can’t see me returning anytime soon. All I wanted was a bloody tea cake. Yes I think you’re right re the staff, when the cameras are rolling they’ll be there otherwise it’s kids running the place probably on minimum wage. 👍

After seeing this bike on your channel. I’m currently reviewing this bike and the ktm 690. Basically both the same bike. But just looking for slight differences ????

Hi yes it’s basically the same bike. I think the suspension linkage is different on the 701 to the 690 from what I’ve been told. I’m not sure what other differences there are. Best go to a dealer and have a good look at the two different models and ask lots of questions. There’s also the Gas Gas ES700 which again is fundamentally the same bike but a bit cheaper. You can genuinely do anything and go anywhere on this bike. 👍

@@701Adventures yes. So far the suspension is the only thing I’ve found to be different. I’ve not checked out the gas gas.. I may do so later.. But watching your videos and a couple of others including from Australia’s.s the husky is winning…

Hello mate just finished watching series 3 the other day. Very good I’d say. But would be queuing for 45 mins!! In my tent now en route or track to the Ardèche. Only one fall off today. Some of the tracks are pretty wet and muddy. Only problem so far is my Samsung tablet saying it won’t charge because of 💧 hope that doesn’t become the holiday problem!! Email coming when I’ve got a few worthy photos.

Sorry to hear of your troubles mate. Getting out on the bike certainly helps clear the head and keep the demons at bay. I know what you mean about the 'mental heath' trigger words, I've stopped myself talking about it in the past in my video too also but mainly as I feel like I'll be burdening the viewers with a sob story they come for a T7 getting thrashed 😂 but being brutally honest I've suffered alot with my demons over the last ten years or so... Still do to some degree, I find the bike to be my biggest help/motivator. There's something magical about that flow state feeling, probably why I ride like a loon so much, cliche, but you really do only have enough time to think and exist in the present moment, just you, the bike and the next obstacle. Massive respect for laying yourself bare here and talking about it. Take care, Steve. 🤙

Thank you, I can’t go into detail publicly but there’s a few folk who know me personally who are aware of what’s going on. Needless to say riding a bike has been secondary on the priority list but slowly and surely as and when circumstances permit I’m getting back out on the bike and it’s a great distraction even if it’s only for a few hours. I appreciate you leaving the comment though and it goes without saying I enjoy watching your videos. We have a very different approach to riding the trails but we both enjoy ourselves and that’s what counts. Thanks again, all the best, Steve 👍

The T7 is 60-70 kgs heavier than the Husky 701 I think but if you’re a confident rider I don’t believe you’ll have any trouble. 👍
