Really liked your review and advice. The fact that most of the other reviews I went through got me the earbud 2 Pro, a " Not so good" earbud at all. But It's really good, and the buds feel very comfortable on the first test. Not sure what happens if one is using those buds for a full professional work or use it for a whole workday. Please share a macro perspective if you have used the Bud Pro 2 for over six months. TIA

I've read in the manual of a home charging station brand that there is a nuance to 3-phase charging depending on the brand and model of your car as well as the kind of 3-phase charging you can provide. Let me explain. I'm going to choose an example for Europe but this might also apply for other parts of the world. There are 2 ways your house can have 3-phase electricity called 3P and 3P+N. 3P: essentially is a 3-wire system without a neutral wire. If you measure the voltage between 2 phases, you get 230V (again: in Europe). If you measure between 1 phase and the ground wire, you get 127 V. 3P+N: this is a 4-wire system with 3 phases and 1 neutral wire. Measuring voltage between a phase and the neutral wire gives you 230V and between 2 phases gives you 400V What do EVs do when you plug in the home charging cable which has standard the 3 phases + the neutral + the ground wire (which will always be at 0 V)? This is the part which differs greatly between car brands and even models. As a security precaution, some cars will measure the voltage between the neutral wire and the ground wire. This should be 0 V. If this difference is not 0 V, they simply don't charge. The people who make home chargers know this and have taking this into account but it differs depending if you have a 3P or 3P+N setup. 3P+N: each phase and the neutral are attached to the charger providing this to the car together with the ground wire. This setup is the most straightforward and should yield 0V between neutral and ground after which any car should start charging at the full 11kW 3 phase. 3P: this is the tricky one. Because of the car security precaution mention above, when you have the 3P setup, the home charging station will connect 1 of the phases also to the neutral pin of the car. The car will do it's measurement, see 127 V between ground and (what it thinks is) the neutral wire and will switch to a setup where it will either charge on 2 phases-only or even 1 phase-only (depending again on the car brand and model). So all people here who said they have a 3 phase system yet only see charging on 1 or 2 phases, have a look at your wiring closet at where the mains comes int your house: do you see 3 wires coming in (3P) or 4 (3P+N)? There is a workaround if you're stuck with a 3P installation: transformers exist to convert 3P (230V) to 3P+N (400V) called a "Delta-Star transformer" or "Delta-wye transformer" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta-wye_transformer). If you install one of those before your home charger, you'll essentially end up in the 3P+N model where the car can use presumably 3 phases . One caveat to this: these transformers become expensive really quick when you're talking high power such as 11 kW or 22 kW.

Those figures don't seem right. are you driving around a hilly area? For start stop city driving you should get around 13-14kWh/100km on the Dynamic, 15-16kWh/100km for Premium Eco mode with high regen no climate on.
@CampbellMorkham4 күн бұрын
You will get even better efficiency with Standard Regen.

Yes @davec110 , driving on hilly area and always on in peak hour traffic. Given all the great comments and suggestions you all are giving, I am going to give Standard Regen a go to see if it makes any difference.

It’s a great video. However, I’m sure you can get better range and efficiency out of your Dynamic than the 320km range / 19.2kWh/100km. Other Seal Dynamic owners report better range and efficiency for similar trips. It’s unclear what weather/road conditions or vehicle settings you were driving in, so maybe for you next video highlight those. Although only recommended every 3 to 6 months, may I also suggest you do a full Battery Management System Calibration and Cell Balance (Discharge to less than 10% and fully charge continuously to 100%.). Also try ECO mode, Standard Regen, AC @ 25C and ICC as much as you can. This should result in better efficiency and range. For comparison, we have done over 12,000km in our Seal Premium over the last 7 months made up of 50% Country (100-110km/h) and 50% Metro (~50km/h) with an average efficiency of 16.8kWh/100km. (~490km range) I'm happy with that! We get about 14.3kWh/100km around town (580km) and 19.2kWh/100km on country roads at 100 to 110km/h (430km), often better than that. Looking forward to you next Video.

Thanks for the info @CampbellMorkham. It's so interesting to hear couple of you saying Standard Regen will get more range. Learning something new here. Those figures are as raw as it gets, I basically set the trip meter to zero and drive as shown on those screenshots. Yes hilly area, lots of traffic jam and always using climate control. I didn't sit and camp in the car like I normally would do during these two tests. I am going to give standard regen a go to see if I can get more distance out of it. Dynamic has a battery substantially smaller than Premium. Premium is the best when it comes to efficiency, even better than Seal Performance. Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe Battery Cell management will make a difference. I usually use it down to about 30% and start charging up with 8 - 10 kW charger over two to three nights.
@CampbellMorkham4 күн бұрын
@@SkyPerspectiveyes I know the Dynamic has a smaller 61kWh battery compared to the Premium's 83kWh. My son also has a Dynamic and he gets better efficiency than my heavier Premium. Good luck.

That's really interesting, our Seal was delivered with Tyre pressures of 46psi Front and Back. Wondering if I should drop them down a few PSI.
@SkyPerspective4 күн бұрын
Their delivery team are not so particular when it comes to tyre pressure. If we want to get really specific, we can check the recommended tyre pressure on the sticker beside the passenger door. For Dynamic, BYD recommend 42 PSI rear and 36 PSI front. Not sure about Premium and Performance.
@saleh452513 күн бұрын
not only you should lower it for range purpose, but also for comfort of driving. you will find the car to be less stiff at lower tire pressure. what size is the wheel? smaller wheel will also help to increase range and provide more comfort. im surprised the recommended pressure is 36 and 42. i would try 33 and 35 perhaps. why the disparity between front and back? and 6 units!!! is it because of weight?
@vbmdsm3 күн бұрын
@@saleh45251 The wheel size is the default Seal Premium 19". The ride is fine but for Tyre lifespan I think dropping to recommended PSI is a good idea.

No surprise, take at least 15% but more realistically 20% off the advertised WLTP range of any EV and that will be your real world range. Also, nothing scary about going down to 10%.... Or even 5% as long as you're close to home. Most EVs should have a hidden buffer. E.g. my tesla has a hidden buffer of around 20km once you get to 0%

Interesting, I have a month old Dynamic and recently did a trip from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast hinterland (Maleny, Montville and Caloundra) and back. I managed 366KM using 89% battery, which would suggest a range of just over 400KM. I would have thought City driving would result in more range. Not sure if it makes a difference but I use a 7kW charger at home and have done a battery calibration.
@SkyPerspective4 күн бұрын
I think it's the moving of from stationary position. That initial moving off draws a lot of power, and imagine doing that all the time during traffic jam and at the lights. That's why city driving would consume more. This is my guess.
@ehoss59334 күн бұрын
Yep, think you might be right. It seems easier to keep the car in the eco zone if there are less stop/starts. Looking forward to your road trip results.

@@SkyPerspective City driving uses less because the average speed overall is less so less energy goes into overcoming aero drag. Yes, accelerating from a standstill uses quite a lot but this is mostly recovered as you slow down and come to a stop at the next step of lights, so long as you brake gently and within the limits of the regeneration system.

TY!!!!! I think i followed your recommendation in 2022 and, also by chance (an online auction settled it..) I got stuck with this Asus Zenbook UX482. In German, I would give it a 3, which is a B in the English-speaking world, thus neither unsatisfied nor excited. The Pros: It took a couple of months though to discover and properly use the "spread screen", having the screen reaching down to the Screenpad Plus. Both screen have a good resolution and give a good color/contrast experience. The Cons: As the upper screen has the "old" 16:9 screen-ratio (though there is room for that in the lid), there is a thick black right in your website/document, hmmm... The keyboard is hard to get used too, hmm... Getting to the issue here: The right hinge or something close to it sometimes makes "Crack" though I greased it cautiously. Hmmmm... I am getting rid of this one in the next 3 months for the fabulous Lennie Yoga 7 1-2.
