This to me is a unfair test this should be carried out indoors in identical conditions. Honesty is great if you're correct.

Hi, there fly everwhere and nowhere with this wind and the pellets you use are too light. You have to go to 18.3 minimum.

After 5 years of owning the TX200 (not HC) and putting around 5000 shots through it, as well as watching many, many reviews, I have never seen anyone make such an ordeal of cocking it and being accurate with it. I feel like your frustration with your own ability to cock it may have affected your accuracy. You were visibly rattled, even when you forgot to take the safety off. Do you have a problem with your arm / shoulder? Was there a reason you wasn't just pulling it till it stopped? Have you tried others to make sure it isn't an issue with that particular rifle? This whole thing just seemed farcical.

You have done well to track down the ownership of Remington, I kept coming up against brick walls when I tried a couple of years back. Whilst I suspected Chinese ownership I was unable to prove this. It would appear that China now owns the bulk of North American and European civilian arms production, It does leave me wondering just how large a section of the worlds arms production is now in Chinese hands and whether these tentacles have spread into the numerous companies in the uk currently producing arms for the Government. And more importantly how will this effect our ability to defend ourselves over the next one hundred years. In view of world politics over the last forty years I am rather surprised that British, German and U.S. governments have allowed this situation to develop, There again considering the level of corruption to be found in world politics perhaps not so surprising.

Hi ! I live in Europe, and before buying this Gamo, I watched several reviews. I did not understand why some say it is an excellent product and others say the opposite. After this video, I understood ! I totally understand why you feeling dupe by Gamo. Ps : sorry for my bad english. edit : if you want to by sure : The gas ram have a front sight, the springer doesn’t have it.

Your technique is totally wrong, those guns are as accurate as any pcp in the right hands. Firstly hold, you are not holding the front end at all, Spring guns need a gentle hold back and front and the same hold every shot. You are also snatching at the trigger and not holding for the follow through. As for pellet choice the 77 is not really pellet fussy as long as you use good grade pellets.

Hi, maybe you can help me. I own the Kervan Airboss 25 cal with a 500 barel. I would like to shoot slugs with my gun, but I don’t know what the twist rate is, do you have any idea what the twist rate is? I have also seen some people who have my gun but are using FX slug liners. I called FX, but they don’t know what I would need to make it fit on my gun. Are you using the standard barrel and what slugs are you using? I’m in Canada so the FPE is around 60 and the FPS is 1100 on my Gun. Thanks.

The best safety mechanism on any rifle is that you don't cock and load ammunition until just prior to taking a shot.

My pellets fly at around 800ft with 18gr. But I am not in the UK. It is set on the lowest setting. I can probably get around 1000ft, but that is not necessary as I don’t think it will improve accuracy.
@geraldrandall1566
@geraldrandall1566 Ай бұрын
I know it is crazy, but I shoot competition and I weigh all my pellets. You will be surprised that even the top manufacturers have a few in the tin that are way out. When shooting groups or single shot targets, then the pellets must be exactly the same weight and size as the pellet shot before and after. I only shoot pellets at are within 5000 o a gram as a group for competition. Painful to weigh them, but you will get 5 pellets through the same hole (almost) at 30m if the pellets weigh exactly the same.
@geraldrandall1566
@geraldrandall1566 Ай бұрын
The 22 caliber likes JSB 18gr. The barrel is very pellet sensitive. Also try a silencer as it improves accuracy. I also think that due to the power limits in the UK, the natural environment will impact results. It likes to be fired at higher power and speed. For the price, the results are very good. Another thing, spend time behind the scope. The shooter makes a difference. Also, weigh your pellets. If you are not using the exact same weight, then it isn’t a fair test. With accuracy tests I see reviewers pulling pellets out of the tin and hoping they all weigh the same. Not fair. Also, you are to clean he barrel after each test.

An honest review, thank-you. Having run out of air during Covid lock-down, I decided to add a springer to my gun cabinet. I checked out both the HC and full length TX200. I bought the full length which has a longer cocking arm and is consequently easier to cock - I personally don't recommend the HC/carbine length. I found the lock time slow and it took me a while to get used to it (being more familiar with rimfire and PCPs). I eventually fitted a short stroke kit which improved it. (Rumour has it that it is currently designed as an 18 ft-pounder for the US market and we get the same gun with a softer spring.) Short-stroked its easier to shoot and groups now on a par with my AA S400 (i.e. very good - much better than the results in your video by a considerable margin). My only criticism now is the auto-safety which I hate. Not a criticism specific to the gun, I just hate auto-safeties. If I had been more patient and learned the gun's handling characteristics it would have been fine. The faster lock time from the short stroke kit makes it handle more like a PCP or rimfire. As modified, this gun is a keeper. Friends at the club who have tried it agree. As ever, your mileage may vary.

In all reviews I have seen so far give the HW 97K and the TX200 as equivalent rifles as far as the accuracy is concerned. All reviews I see point out the fact that, in order to take it apart, one needs to remove the scope on the HW while on the TX it is not necessary and would lead to quicker, no hassle, maintenance. Both rifles have a ton of tuning possibilities out there. Both seem to be superb rifles.

I have watched many of your reviews and have thoroughly enjoyed many of them, however this is one of most unfair appraisals of a complete rifle model I have ever seen. I am a senior shooter and have been around since the early days of John Bowket, Arthur Shepherd, Venom arms and many more of the old worthies. I have built , Tuned and dismantled 100s of air rifles and examined and rebuilt many parts over all those years. Your review here is of an ex Demo rifle and you haven't a clue as to what treatment it has had prior to you getting it. Yet you advise no one to buy that model which down cries the whole BSA Lightening XL SE model range. How very unfair. you have blasted the whole model range of that particular gun with a poor result you achieved on ONE EX DEMO RIFLE. How very sad. I have 2 of that particular rifle and can produce sub half inch groups at 25 yards. Both will provide sub 1 inch groups at 40 yards. Do I say its the best rifle in the world because I can achieve that, of course not but you have no problem in saying the worst grouping rifle you have ever shot condemning the whole range of them. Perhaps you should go and get another one Brand new, Run it in, and then do another test. I am certain the results would be far different. The way you expressed your review black marked what can be and is proven to be a superb rifle. The comments show that some have called it rubbish due to your review. I have a friend, a wonderful shooter who shoots a HW77 and can place pellets on top of one another. He can do exactly the same with his BSA Lightening. I hope more people do not avoid this rifle because of your unfair review based on (ONE ex demo rifle).
